I wasn't very smart & let a friend from HS stay with me for a few weeks. I found out $$ was being stolen so I told him to get out. I gave him until Tue to find some place to go only to find out on Sunday he had stolen all my kids Wii games :scared1: I called the police & he left right away but the police said there is nothing I can do other than file a report. Needless to say I feel horrible & am trying to replace the games for my kids which isn't easy being a single mom. They didn't have many, can someone recommend the cheapest place (used are fine)...I have posted & been checking Craiglist with no luck.

TIA

That totally sucks! Did you file the report? I would. As for games, try GameStop. You can get used games there pretty reasonably priced. Good luck!

gamestop is best for used games, if you get find them used then all the prices will be the same unless they are on sale. However some stores will have deals like buying 2 gets you a gift card for the store (Target does this for example) so watch out for that.

What games did they have? Some will be easier to find used then others.

Like I said, they didn't have many, he left 2 but took....

Nerf N-Strike Elite (only the game was taken, I still have the gun),
Super Mario Bros
Wii Sports

^^^those 3 are the ones they are most upset about :sad1:

Wii Fit (only the game was taken, still have the board)
Wipeout
Crash Bandicott Mind over Mutant

I actually didn't file because one I'm scared & because the officer said theres basically nothing that can be done other than having it on record, I can't "prove" he took them. :(

Gamestop has B2G1 free sales on used games fairly often, I'm sure they'll have it at least once if not twice before Christmas. They also guarantee their games for 30 days so you don't have to worry about getting a dud.

Amazon or ebay may also be a good place to check. I know I've seen used games for sale at fairly reasonable prices.

ebay...i know a lot of people dont like ebay but you can find cheap ones on there and also amazon, they sell used ones too and very often cheap. before they started selling wii sports in stores i was looking for a replacement copy b/c ours got stepped on and i ended up scoring a used copy on amazon for 7 bucks shipped. Not a bad deal if you ask me.

so sorry to hear about that, its such a violating feel to get stolen from.

So sorry OP!!

Ditto checking on Amazon. I was looking at Hastings for some of your titles. The nerf and strike one was only $7.98 used, but then it added $2.28 for shipping and there may be tax as well. Amazon has a new title on sale for $12.99 with free shipping on orders of $25 or more.

Is there a pawn shop around you? Maybe that's where your games ended up...

Apologies again, wish you weren't in this situation! :grouphug:

You can get really good deals on eBay if you don't care about having the case.

We have a Disc Replay around here. I think it's a chain. They have decent prices and carry more than just Wii, Xbox and Playstation 3. My sons have found older consoles and games, along with music and video. I want to say we saw the Wii Sports there for something like $3. They buy your old games also.

*I* may have a copy of Wii Sports somewhere around here i can ship to you for free (we have multiples of each system and it was packed in..) I would just need to locate it.

Try Secondspin.com. They're running an extra 10% off games right now (code is in the banner at the top of their home page).
