Cheapest bookings??

What are you trying to book?

As for CAA, wouldn't go near them to book anything but then that's me!

Yourself. I find with all the info on these boards it is cheaper to everything yourself and seperately.

Thanks for the heads-up.

I'm thinking of booking the free dining offer for September. Possibly at the Wilderness Lodge - Woods View. And I need airfare too.

Any suggestions? Right through Disney? What about airfare?

I'm willing to fly out of Syracuase (as opposed to Toronto), seems to be cheaper?

Book it directly with CRO. Use their toll free # 1-800-828-0228

I would book soon. If you can fly out of the US definately cheaper!

I'm sorry, what does CRO stand for?

Who should I book flights through?

We always fly out of Syracuse (3.5 hours from Ottawa). Book through JetBlue. Awesome airline, TV's in every seat, great prices! Website is www.jetblue.com

If Toronto is closer for you, don't forget about Southwest out of Buffalo. They have some amazing prices!

I'd love to fly Southwest, but Syracuse is 2 hours closer than Buffalo. (We're about 2 hours from Toronto too!)

Thanks for the JetBlue suggestion, I'll look in to that!

Okay, I found out that CRO means Central Reservation Line. Have you ever booked online??

What about CAA rates?

To answer your original question Wazzo, the price is the same no matter how you book it with one exception. To get a CAA discount on a package you have to book it through CAA. You can get a CAA discount on a room no matter how you book it as long as there is availability.

To answer your last question, I don't think you can get a CAA discount on free dining. Disney doesn't let you combine discounts.

Thanks Chris!

Okay, so I guess I should just book right through Disney!

Has anyone booked online?

I LOVE VALUE! So I look around for the best bang for my buck. In March I found a WestJet seat sale during March Break. I got 2005 Disney ticket prices thru CAA. I booked CBR and FQ thru Disney but used the CAA discount ~ which was about 18%. Alamo had the best rental car price. We still spent over $7000CDN, but I got a $10,000 trip. S

I'm sure lots of people have. We booked our two trips using Dream Unlimited but that was with lots of lead time and not trying to get something like free dining. As well we wanted someone else to look after all of the mechanics of the ADR's...

I believe that many people call CRO instead of booking online because you will know immediately if a resort doesn't have space and can quickly try out others.

Okay, I found on Expedia.ca a really good rate:

Free Dining
5 nights at the WL with a Courtyard View

for $1,664.35 Canadian.

On the Disney website I got a WOODS view (which is supposed to be cheaper) for $1,800ish American funds!

Why is Expedia such a good deal? No tickets maybe?

I found the best place to buy the passes was from Ticketmania.

http://ticketmania.biz/shop/7_Day_Tickets.asp

They have free shipping, and even paying in US funds (from last Sept when the loonie was at 70 cents), they were cheaper than CAA, the Disney Store, or Disney online. Now that the loonie is so high, you should be able to get an amazing deal.

Check out their prices as a comparison when booking packages. A previous poster mentioned how cheap it was to book on Expedia with free dining but no tickets. This would be a great way to supplement the savings :)

Just to add: If you subscirbe to the mousesavers newsletter, you can get a link for an extra 5% off Ticketmania's prices. (At least they had that a few months back.)

In order to get the Free Dining, you have to have bought some kind of ticket-even if it is a one-day base ticket. Double check your expedia.ca quote, and make sure that you have checked the ticket option.

I, personally, think that the best bet is to call CRO and work with them to get you what you want.
