So here's my question:

We'll be going to Orlando this weekend and we will be attending US/IOA. My father is a Westgate owner (you know those guys that hound you) and we go every year. (Actually Westgate Lakes is pretty cool, though.)

So here's the deal: I think that we're going to go to Costco and pick up that 3-day ticket. The reason why is because we may go 2 days and then go 1-day whenever we get back to Orlando. However, we have some folks that are looking for good deals for 1 and 2-day tickets only.

Is there a good deal for 1-and-2 day tickets. I saw something from Discount Vacation Getaways that is touting a 2-day ticket for $76. It looks scam-ish, though.

You might want to check with Westgate to see if they have any discounted tickets for Universal.

You cannot save the 3rd day of a universal ticket for another vacation to Orlando. The tickets expire after 14 days from first use!

I'd check mousesavers for the best prices!

The Costco ticket is said to expire either at the end of 2013 or the end of 2014. So you can use a day or 2 now, and then come back 2 years later and use the remaining days.

It's funny, I am also staying at Lakes this weekend and I am looking for Universal tickets. I have called around to different Costco's and they just don't have them available in Florida. I'm thinking of just swinging by for the fun of it and seeing for myself.

Lakes really didn't have any great Universal deals when I called to confirm my reservation, but they are giving me Universal cash so the "Non Residents" in my party will be getting those and giving me the cash to by my "Resident" deal wherever I can find one.

I think the best deal they had was a 3 day US/IOA/WetnWild hopper ticket for $157.

They had a good deal for Disney. 2 Disney parks and a WaterPark/DisneyQuest ticket for $159.

Discount from the site for non residents but not super hot.

I think that the best deal is the 3-day $139.99 deal at Costco. That way, we can go a couple of days and still have a day to grow-on when we get back in September. If we do the "ALL-WDW" trip, we may bag it until next year. If we go on a cruise, we'll take a day and run around US/IOA all day.

You can order your tickets from Universal for FL resident for pretty cheap. You need to order online and do pickup in order to get that discount. 3 day park to park is $119.99 + taxes. There are some blackout dates and they expire 180 days from first use.:thumbsup2

Wow 180 days? I thought it was 14 . . . gives me something to think about even though the only chance I go back before the 180 days is if I decide to do Halloween Horror . . . but I know I will back atleast once or twice by the end of 2014.

Thanks for the advice though, I will check it out.

After reading it, I'm even going to consider buying an annual pass, as I need 12 multipark tickets and I get a 10% discount if I use an annual pass . . . that may be my best move.

Thanks again.

I thought that we can't get those tickets because we would have to show one Florida ID per ticket. Is that still the case?
