Is it cheaper to fly on Saturday or Sunday? We are heading to WDW in April and right now we planning on flying in on Sunday April 11th. I'm thinking of adding on Saturday the 10th, but I was wondering if flights will be more expensive on Saturday verses Sunday. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. WE usually fly SOuthwest but this year I have to book for 10 so we will go with the cheapest non-stop flight that I can find. Right now the prices seem crazy high! I'm hoping they will go down.THANKS! :)

Check out some different carriers for different dates a month from now and see if you notice a pattern.:surfweb: My flight is on a Saturday and it was about the same to fly on the sunday as well. It might depend on where you are flying out of?? Flying back on a saturday might be cheaper from Orlando than the sunday just because more people fly back on the sunday to get back for work on Monday. At least that is what I have noticed.:thumbsup2

We're trying to figure out something similar for our April trip. We're staying from the 10th to the 17th but considering flying down on Friday and staying somewhere near the airport for the night. We did this in April '08 and it saved us money. The other option we're considering is flying down on Saturday and staying until the following Sunday- staying somewhere near the airport Saturday night I'm waiting for SW to release their April fares.

Good luck!

Right now, SW is only booking through March 12th. We usually fly SW also and I've learned if you can book far enough in advance with them, there's usually no price difference between Saturday and Sunday. Sometimes it is cheaper to fly out on Saturday, but that's if you wait to make your reservations closer to your departure dates. If you book once they start offering flights for April, prices will be the same for both days.

One thing to keep in mind if you decide to fly out on Saturday; you will need an extra night lodging. Most places will usually charge you weekend rates for lodging. Even though you may save on flights, would it be worth the savings for what you'll have to spend on lodging?

Also keep in mind, if you can find flights cheaper on a different airlines, and if you're planning on checking baggage; check their baggage fees. This might also land up costing you more in the long rung. For 10, that can really add up.

Just learned from another thread that SW will start booking flights through May 7,2010 starting on October 13th.
