HI

just one of many more questions i keep coming up with:rolleyes:

looking to do a 4 day cruise and WDW

i got an okay price getting a quote on DCL but wanted to know what others did & whom did you use to get a "great price" on land and sea

can you switch your DCL reservation to another TA and get some type of perk from the TA for giving them the reservation?

thanks again

:wave2:

We booked the cruise and land separate from each other. It was much cheaper for us to do this because we wanted the Polynesian with Lagoon view and Conceirge and we have annual passes. We used Dreams Unlimited for the cruise and I did the WDW reservations myself.

We did a 3 day land/4 day sea pkg this past June. We really liked all the perks of booking the pkg together, like all your luggage transfers. when we checked our baggage at our home city airport we did NOT see our luggage again until it was waiting for us in our Disney resort room. The same on our cruise day. We packed our bags, left them in our room, they were picked up and waiting for us on board in our stateroom. This was wonderful since we have a 5 & 7 year old. There are some posts that outline the advantages ($?) of booking them seperately. You may want to try and find those posts.

We als used All Seasons travel and received a musch better price then from DCL. (allseastravel.com)

Good Luck!

on a related note to this question. would booking land and sea separately allow you to book a room at disney deluxe and a cheaper stateroom on board the ship? looking at the disney cruise brochure under land and sea it looks as if you have to buy rooms of equal value - so if you book say, animal kingdom lodge, you have to book a nicer stateroom.

i for one am interested in a deluxe land hotel and the cheapest room i can get on the cruise ship. how can i go about doing this?

thank you.

Yes stina, you can do that. You have a variety of options from booking yourself, AAA, or travel agents. You can even do that on line. This was one of the reasons we booked separately. We knew that we wanted Poly LVC but we unsure of the room. We ended up getting a suite and loved it.

I have seen this go both ways. I had someone interested in a Holiday season sailing--the pricing as a land/sea combination saved her over $1000 over booking the cruise and land separate.

You really just have to price your options. Your biggest savings is when you are booking the deluxe resorts (cat 7 and higher).

HI

thanks everyone for the help

we are going may 2005 & after checking around the price i got from DCL for cat 7 (verandah) and the poly actually isn't too bad- i think the savings lies in the fact that you get to have a deluxe hotel for less by booking land and sea together

boy, i just can't wait:hyper: never been on DCL !!
