Our family is going down to Disney June 19-27 2010. My dad is a very avid golfer and would love to be able to play while we are there. Does anyone know of any places that are decently priced? Disney courses are $90 or more to play :scared1:

Yes, there are numerous golf courses within 20 miles of Disney that will run ya less than $90. I would suggest going to www.golfnow.com and signing up.
They are a last minute discounter that I've used often.( and not just Florida)

My DH played 4 rounds last week when we were there and did not pay near $90 for any of them. He played at Shingle Creek, Osprey Ridge, and twice at Providence in Davenport. A wee bit out of the way but amazing course at great prices. He was going to play Celebration for the 4th day but liked Providence so much he booked it again.

He used the site the pp mentioned to find good deals, even while in Orlando from the hotel room.

Want to mention that June, July and August are very inexpensive times to play golf, even at Disney and Celebration, because of the heat.
Go to the different web-sites and sign up for their email. Some of the off site ones are as low as $29. in the summer.
I'm not talking early morning but mid-afternoon.

WOw guys, thank you so much! Keep any more advice coming. Im very happy that you answered so quickly. Thanks!:goodvibes

As far as off property, I would also suggest Orange County National (either course) or Celebration. During the summer they have been offering a two round deal at Disney that if I recall correctly worked out to less than $50 a round....

There is a little nine hole (play twice for 18, obviously) at Polo Park. ::yes:: It's wicked inexpensive and gets a remarkable amount of traffic for that very reason.

Worth checking into, especially if you want a "warm up course" or have a wide range of golf skills in the party.

Oh, it's on the southbound side of Route 27 just south of the intersection of 192 West and 27 south. ::yes::
