CheapER place to stay if I fly in early?

I suggest you priceline a hotel at the Orlando airport. I got the renaissance for something like $33, and it was really nice. I think Barb & Tony normally bid $29 for a 2 1/2 star or better, if I remember their reports right.

First cruise, I did the cheap hotel search on line, and booked the Amerisuites NE for about $70 because I was a little scared by priceline, but after the last trip, I'll do priceline all the way.

The reason I suggest the MCO area is because there are a lot of hotels there, and they seem to be more likely to offer up rooms at a good rate than an area (like Cocoa Beach) where there are fewer hotels.

Good information. I was thinking the same thing - that since we're arriving in the evening, it might be best to stay near the airport.

Thanks for all the info.

I got the Marriott for $45 using Priceline. I've stayed there in the past and it is very nice. Free shuttle to/from the airport and a wonderful breakfast buffet for not a lot of $. It may not be quite as convenient as the Hyatt but it was every bit as nice.

I totally agree with staying in the airport for that night. We did that one year and it was great! I also think sometimes, if you can flying down early is a great idea. Last year we left for our back to back cruises two days early. Shortly after arriving in our disney resort, we turned on the TV and found out that the Northeast had a blackout. IF we would have left even a few hours later, our ability to get down to Florida would have been impossible. If you have a day or two to go down early, I would because the worst thing that can happen is something like a blackout that would prevent you from getting on the ship!
