I was checking on different car rental options in case I have to make changes next weekend, due to storms. I currently have Alamo p/u at MCO at noon on Sat, returning to the Dolphin on Sat, the 22nd, a Versa. For $180.
Well, just now I checked and found a Versa, rented Sat at 2, at the Dolphin, return to Dolphin on the 23rd, for $140, with a discount through Cheap Travel Network. The discount just popped up in the Alamo site, I didn’t put it in.
Is this a reputable discount? It has the ‘estimated’ total, with AFA6672.82 beneath, in smaller print.
Any advice, thoughts?? Thanks guys.

No one knows anything about this company???

Diane, I'm trying to pull up their site map and I'm getting a 404 error, which means that their web site is a piece of crap - also, the page still lists Northwest Airlines, which went out +6 years ago...

I'd probably be leary of this one...

That was my concern. I just thought it was strange that it just popped up on Alamo's site as an automatic discount. Weird. I think I'll just stick with the one I made first.

Did u try thru Costco, if a member. I’ve had to rent quite a bit of late and they always seem to get me the lowest price. Plus so simple to navigate thru it.
Good luck!

I dont have Costco since we don't have one in our area.

If the discount appeared without entering anything, it's possible that it's a legitimate offer and that Alamo is simply re-using an code from that website. (Alamo may think the site no longer exists.)

If the Walt Disney World Dolphin location is more convenient, you could try calling Alamo. They would be able to let you know if there are any restrictions associated with the code.

Alternately, you can try searching the Alamo website for the code. Is there any other code shown besides AFA6672.82? I tried searching both that and Cheap Travel Network. Neither gave me anything probative.

If unfamiliar, you can restrict your favorite search engine (Bing, Google) to only show results for a specific website by using the following, where XXXXX is the word or words (like the code) you want to find:

site: alamo.com XXXXX
