Cheap school supplies

Don't buy too much though.....I once had a stockpile from college days and it yellowed before my daughter used it.

Thanks! I actually thought about that but decided it can always be donated or used for coloring since it was so cheap!

While I would happily pay $20 for school supplies through the PTA as a fundraiser, not all parents can do this. When you consider that my DD, going into 3rd grade, will spend about $5 on necessary supplies, including pencil case/box, etc. that's a $15 money-maker. Even my DS, soon to be sophmore, wouldn't spend $20 for supplies (not including a scientific calculator -- one time purchase I hope). I think he spent about $10 last year and only because his Biology Honors teacher required "special" things, most of which he never used, lol :flower:

:guilty: I did not see that at walmart I paid $1 for the big fat classic ones. I did not see the color pencils either. Maybe they have different sales at each one??

I didn't see this advertised in their flyer. I was actually looking for the Rose-Art ones they had advertised for $.50, but didn't see any. I asked the salesgirl if they had any more of the $.50 markers, and she said, "No, but we've got $.39 markers. It was like they just made an endcap and changed the price on the spot.
