Cheap Resort Window Decor

Hello Fellow budget Dis'ers! DH and I are leaving in 8 days for WDW! I am excited, can you tell?!? For the last 3 years we have seen some really cool window decorations designed by other resort guests. I am curious where some of you guys get your decorations. I have checked at several local $ stores, Wal-mart, etc, with no luck. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Going for economical here as I need to get enough to decorate two windows since we are taking my parents too!

I like the towel animals in the windows and that's it. I saw a lot of tacky looking windows last time we were there!

I just picked up some cute beach themed gel window clings at CVS for 90% off, so 19 cents. Pretty good deal, I must say .

Just be careful what you put on the windows. No tape or window paint. Mousekeeping has been known to impose a cleaning charge when they've had to spend extra time to remove sticky residue and traces of paint from the windows, walls and doors.

Window and gel clings seem to be fine. Holiday lights held in place with suction cups can be okay.

A few decorations in the window make it easier to find your room. And they're kind of cute. Just don't go overboard and make sure that you clean everything off before you check out.

I've gotten most of mine at dollar stores. I found some cute Winnie the Pooh gel clings one year and added in some Christmas gel ones too because it was December. On another trip I had some princess window clings and then I stood some little princess dolls on the window ledge underneath them.

you know that contact paper we used to use to cover our work books at school? Well i know we used it lol...i bought some of that in pink and green...i cut out mickey and minnie heads and other shapes and will use that on the windows. Its super easy and comes right off...we have had some decorative contact paper on my front window for like 7 years and i can easily remove it. I bought the pink and green at staples.

thanks for the info on extra charges by mousekeeping if there are any stickies left aka-mad4themouse. I will check the $ store again for some clings. Good idea on the cut out contact papers. Maybe I can make some die cuts with my Cricut and string them, put suction cups w/ hooks up to hang them to!!!

I knew you guys would help me brain storm!!!

Any other suggestions?
