Cheap MP3 Player

so I give apple credit.

Does anyone know a cheap MP3 player that will pick up the songs where they are stored. I really don't need the bells and whistles that IPOD gives.

Why not an iPod shuffle? They're around $50.

I have heard good things about Sansa players if you don't want iPod. My DH has a Sansa and loves it.

Depending on what you want as far as space, used iPods can be pretty cheap.

Dh, dd10 and I all have Sansa Fuzes and love them. You can routinely get refurbished ones for about $40 or so for a 4G, and they are expandable with a microcard, which is wonderful. Keep any eye out for sales at sites like woot or overstock. Dh's is a refurbished 8G that I got for about $25 shipped on one of those sites. Ebay and eCost have the 4Gs now for about that shipped.

Dd13 has an iPod Nano, and I think the Fuze is a better product for less than half the price.

Sansa mp3 players is great. That what all three kids have. Now my mom have went through so many mp3 players that she is not getting anything expenive at all. Couple days ago got mp 3 player for 5.00 bucks at toy are us. I am not expecting much out it. As long plays mom will be happy.

Yes, I have two Sandisk Sansa players. I love them. One is tiny for when I'm running. I have never been interested in overpaying for disposable electronic equipment that breaks down or becomes obsolete. Both players work fine, are priced cheaply, and I won't have a problem replacing them when technology changes.
