What is the cheapest motel in the Orlando area during the winter months? Thanks.

I would recommend Priceline if it's not a "school" vacation/spring break week. You can check some of these hotels out on www.bidddingfortravel.com.

If you are going for a week, I'd check out SkyAuction's ready set go auctions. You can get a full week in a 2/3 bedroom condo/villa right near Disney for about $260 total - including all taxes. Even a cheap hotel on Priceline might be hard to beat at that price. Plus think of all the extra space you would have. It's nice to get up in the morning and be able to make coffee in your own condo.

Hotelkingdom.com also has some pretty good rates for hotels. But I don't think you will find anything in the $20-$30 range.

Best of luck to you.

the few hotels that are still mom and pop. they don't advertise can't afford too.

so they are not listed in AAA

you might look here
www.floridakiss.com
but lately this thing has even limited some places I know are still around - money talks.

the ones I am talking about will NOT have websites. so you will need to call them.

I have had pretty good luck with www.hotwire.com . I booked 6 nights at a 2 star hotel at the Maingate East area for less than $240 (split stay between Days Inn and Howard Johnson). The one catch, though, with Hotwire is that you don't know which hotel you will get until you complete the non-refundable booking process. Priceline and Hotwire are very similar (you don't bid on Hotwire, though- there is a prestated price per night).
