I have 2 former students (that I taught horseback riding to) that are graduating high school this year that I want to get a small present for. I don't know when I'll see them so ideally it needs to be a gift card idea or something that can be easily mailed, and I'm trying to spend around $15 each.

Looking for cute, creative, or thoughtful ideas to make that amount seem more meaningful!

(I understand its less than the conventional amount, but I'm not far out of college myself and its about all I can afford)

I was wondering if you have any pictures of them Horseback riding?
Maybe a small photo framed and packaged with a small G.C.
I am sure any any gesture is going to be appreciated.

I agree. An unexpected picture in a frame would be lovely. Additionally, any small trinket that would remind them of their time with you.

Actually, would a horseshoe be lame? They're supposed to be lucky and kids starting out in their own could use a little luck. ;)

I love the horseshoe idea!!
Maybe with a poem that you sign and attach?
Hugs Mel

Not a good suggestion for OP, but since this is the DIS board I do have to add that if you have a graduate that is a Disney freak, those graduation Mickey ears for around $30 or so are kind of cool (at least I think so). I wouldn't call them inexpensive for what they are, but we gave these and a check to my niece when she graduated from college.

I think this is a lovely idea and $15 is just fine. You are very thoughtful. I like the photo idea. You might be able to find something cute and inexpensive with a shutterfly code.

My DD would love a $15 gift card. They just like to be remembered. I love the picture idea too!!!

Picture idea is great. Horse Shoe, while a great idea, would be way to costly to mail. A sweet card with a itune card might be just fine too.

I think these little jars are cute. I've seen them painted gold or white also. (Pinterest) Then you could fill with candies, and 'hide' a gift card down inside the candy.

If you go through a gift card discount site (Raise) you might be able to save some money.
