Cheap hotels within walking distance to DL

We will be in DL Sept 24-30, can anyone recommend a hotel within easy walking distance to DL? Last time we stayed at the Sheraton Anaheim , which we loved, and used their shuttle but can't afford that this year unless the rates come down.

Any help is appreciated!!

We just stayed at the Desert Palm Resort and Suites and loved the place. The walking distance was reasonable (teen kids never complained)

The past 2 times we have stayed at the Ramada Plaza. Great hotel (3 diamond AAA) and cheap rates. Last December we had a room for $71. The week before Christmas! We also had a great view of DCA from our room and could see the fireworks in the distance. It took about 5-7 minutes to walk from our room to the front gate. I'd highly recommend it.

we stayed at the Anaheim Desert Inn and Suites last week for 6 nights...it was RIGHT directly across the street from the crosswalk into Disneyland. Can't get much closer than that. We stayed there for $59/night.

We stayed (will stay again in June) at the Castle Inn and Suites. Its down the block from Disneyland but still an easy 5 minute walk. My DDs loved it b/c we came home to a "castle" everynight b/c the hotel itself looks like one. Its lit up and everything!

We had military vouchers to stay so I don't know how much it is normally.

I've stayed at three. Fairfield Inn was great, Ramada Main Gate decent and wasn't impressed with the Alamo Inn.

We've stayed at the Ramada Main Gate for the past 4 visits with AAA rate. It's adequate, has a nice pool, is 5-10 min walk to the main gate & is close to Denny's & IHOP (my kid's two favorite places to eat there!). They also have a continental breakfast.

Request a top-floor room. I have been awakened by noisy footsteps above us when people return after park closing. Otherwise, the staff is very friendly & helpful and it is nice and close.
