We are arriving at 12:05 am and can't check in until that afternoon. We will need a cheap place to sleep for a few hours before taking the ME to the resort. Any suggestions. We have 2 adults and 4 kids, we can cram into one room.

The airport hotel is about 200.00

There must be a " Quiet Lounge " area in MCO.

( as we are on overseas flight we never have had this problem )

The other problem is a taxi fare to and from another hotel & cost of

2 rooms ( Doubt if 6 would be allowed in 1 room ) would be equal to $200

i think it was the Ramada that we stayed at right by MCO. The room we were in had 2 beds (can't remember if they were Q or double) plus a hide a bed. I think we paid about $60 but if I remember right I did get it on priceline. It also had a free shuttle to and from MCO and free breakfast. It was nothing fancy but would definitely work for a late night stay. There are quite a few all suite hotels with free shuttles close to the airport.

Most hotels will not allow you to cram into one room. You will need a suite of some kind. So that makes things a bit more expensive.

In your shoes I think you need to weigh saving money vs convenience. Is saving $50 a night over staying at the airport hotel going to be worth it, when you are having to go and get your luggage, and then find the hotel shuttle, with a bunch of tired kids in tow? And then there is the time wasted checking in to the off site hotel, and making your way back to the airport in the morning, all while hauling your luggage around.

I found myself in a similar situation, but am arriving earlier in the evening. I found that staying at an All Star resort on property is the cheaper option, even if you need two rooms. It depends on the time of year, of course. Baggage services will move our luggage to our real resort after that first night.
