I have a few cheap vases that have been cluttering my shelves. They really aren't worth anything--I think they came free with bouquets of flowers. They look nice though--plain and simple. Should I donate them to charity (not even worth enough to claim on taxes) or just toss them into the recycle bin?

Hey now that's a thought, for the next time I'm really mad at DH. :rolleyes1

Donate them to the Salvation Army thrift shop or the Goodwill thrift shop. When I go browsing in those shops I always see them. Or if you have a swap shop at your local landfill.
One persons trash is another's treasure....or something like that!

In our area we wouldn't be able to recycle something like that. Only food and beverage jars are allowed when it come to glass.

I just donated a box of cluttery type stuff to Goodwill - including numerous vases. Just drove through and handed the box to them!

Well, I've got a pick-up next week, so I guess I can wait that long. I'll just donate them then. Thanks. :wave2:

Buy some flowers and take them to your local nursing home would be even better, or use them to take flowers to your kids teachers in and flowers for the folks in the office at their school. It's nice to say " keep the vase". Or take some fresh flowers around to a neighbor or a friend who has been especially thoughtful to you. :)
