Is $85 a flight each way a great price to fly from Kansas City to Orlando at the end of May?

The Thursday before Labor Day we flew from Pittsburgh to Orlando - coming back the Tuesday after Labor Day - we paid around $300 R/T (about $75.00 each way per person)

So - YES - those are good prices!!!! - not the ABSOLUTE best I've seen - but very close!

You can fly Allegiant for as little as $25.00 each way if you opt out of all boarding priorities, luggage fees etc etc.

But to be honest I'm not 100% honest I would trust an airline that flies that cheap! :lmao:

I flew on SWA last week fro, KC to Orlando for $65 each way. I booked the day flights came out. NOW I can't find SWA for less than $94 each way. We always fly out of KC. So I think $85 is pretty good.

I'm interested in what airline you are look into. We're trying may 14-21 and currently SWA is $134 each way.

Oops! Just checked. My flights are down to $85 each way. I'll take 'em. In fact, I just booked.:yay: Thank you!!!

I just got $89 one way from SW. I've never flown them before and I am leery about the way they do seating. We are traveling with children and 3 sets of families. I don't want to be seated far apart.
I like the option of other airlines and choosing your seating beforehand. But at that price, esp with bags flying free, I had to purchase.

When we checked couple weeks ago Orlando to louisville KY 1 way was 85.00 we did not ask about luggage as we was not going to have any. That was for the end of Oct on SW.

DH decided to take a bus tho this time. He might have flew if we was not gonna have to stop along the way NO direct flights from Orlando to Louisville ky an as a private pilot he has a great fear of flying with anyone but himself.

The flights are through Southwest. We flew them last year.
DH and I have 2 free flights, but we have to buy each kid a ticket. There are 8 adults and 5 children going, so we won't get to sit together, but that isn't too big of a deal since we are spending a week together.

Thanks!

You very well may be especially if you are not in A or B groups when checking in. If we fly Southwest, we divide and conquer. I get DD2, DH gets DD1, and we find whatever seats available. Sometimes that means I'm in front and he's in back. Whatever. We'll meet at the end.

OP, that seems like a great price! For me, anything under $200 RT is pretty good.
