hi
Anyone know where the cheapest's dvd's can be found on I-Drive ?. Also toy shops ?

thanxs in advance................vic

Hi Vic,

In my experience I don't find dvd's any cheaper in Orlando and although I have bought the odd one or two in the outlet malls I find them cheaper here at home in Asda or Tesco or via the net which is were I buy most of mine from.

As far as toys go you can't go wrong by having a trip to FAO Schwartz at Pointe Orlando, they have everything in there.

Regards

Sean.

Also be aware of the area codes on Dvds. Correct me if I am wrong but unless you have a multi region dvd you have to buy region 2 for europe.

Most dvd's in the states are region 1

Hiya

We get all our DVDs over the net from two site called www.play.com and www.playusa.com. We use play for the region 2 dvds and Play USA for the region 1 dvds. Yourwelcome is right, you will have to check your dvd is a multi-region. If not you can pick them up for about £50, (very cheap make).:Pinkbounc

Hope this helps:tongue:

Latest releases can usually be purchased at Publx for $19.99

I bought a load last weekend at the huge Best Buys near the Florida Mall, priced variously at $14.99 and $9.99. I certainly haven't seen any cheaper over there. But beware that Region 1 catch!

We found FAO Schwarz to be really expensive - the same toys could be found much cheaper Target and Wal*Mart. Also don't forget the toy outlets - like K B and Toy Liquidators for bargains.

best place for DVDs I found was Walmart - we came home with so many this time lol - they had a good deal on with some real great classics for $5.50! Definitely keep an eye on them - I also bought the 2 disc set of Alice in Wonderland for £10 and also American Pie The Wedding.

try going in the blockbuster rental shops, they sell off ex-rental discs cheap. when we were there in feb they were 3 for $30 and we've never had a problem with a disc not playing. some of the films are very recent as well.

if you want dvd's reallllllllyyyyyyyy cheap go away from the tourist area and there are smaller dvd rental places (you really have to look for them!) We managed to get 3 ex rental recent dvd's for $15.

also if you buy used discs i believe they are not vat liable so if you get stopped as customs they can't charge you vat on them - best check this out first though, don't take my word for it!!

this time we broke our record and only brought back 45 dvd's

Just for reference FAO Scwartz is closing/closed now.
