I can't believe I haven't seen this posted elsewhere, maybe it is just too obvious to everyone else. We got loads of stuff at much lower prices than the parks at the local Orlando Walmart. They had a huge Disney section at the front of the store - clothes, hats, keychains, frames and albums, water bottles, towels, flipflops, etc etc. There was lots of stuff at the parks that they didn't carry, but it was fine for my kids. Hope this helps someone.

Our favorite souvenirs come from the parks but they're cheap by nature: we collect pressed pennies, get autographs, and do photo scavenger hunts for things like hidden Mickeys and optical illusions built into the park (my favorite is the fountain just past Cinderella's castle). I also like to do a World Showcase passport, whether the official one or just in our chosen autograph book.

Yep, we have gotten some souvenirs several times from the Wal-Mart. Great selection and much better prices than what's at the parks. The only item we really purchase at the parks is an ornament every year.

If you go back often the maps are fun to collect. We bring them home every trip and have quite a collection.

You can buy cheap Disney souvenirs all over Orlando. Somehow it doesn't seem like a WDW souvenir if I bought it at Wal-Mart or Target though! I'd rather find something inexpensive like pressed pennies that really came from the park than shop at Wal-Mart for souvenirs. Of course, I'd rather do just about anything than shop at Wal-Mart!

We do a walmart run for water and snacks and have been in that souvineer section. (also a great time to pick up a bag of chips some soda and a couple of Subway sandwiches for a great 1st night meal or a quick and easy 'picnic' at the resort.

My mom bought a shirt there in 2011 that still looks great. I have bought magnets or keychains and one picture frame. They are all holding up just as well as the stuff I bought in the parks.

I wouldn't make a special trip there but if you're already shopping then why not check it out.

I like getting the Mickey straws at the resorts (not all resorts carry them). 50 cents plus tax.

They are great for goodie bags.
