Yesterday at Wal-Mart I found a clear plastic rain ponch for $.83 that fits great over my Peg Perego Pliko stroller! Even covers down to the basket. It's rather thin and you have to be careful that it doesn't rip, but it also folds up incredibly small and I can carry it with me easily. I can easily throw it over the stroller if I'm parking it and it looks like rain. Thought I'd pass this along for anyone else who doesn't want to shell out much $.

Also - I got the family matching T-shirts for cheap. Now's the time of year that the "patriotic" shirts go on sale. I found some at a smaller store that were in an awful golden rod color for $5 adults, $4 children. They aren't pretty, but they stand out and will make it easier for us to spot each other at the parks.

Those are great ideas dijid ! Our stroller came with a rain cover but my DS is going to WDW and will be renting a stroller there so I'll tell her about your idea.

I would love to check out this cover! Where exactly did you find these...infants,camping,etc? Is it a reg. rain poncho that just works well with the stroller? More info would be greatly appreciated! :D

noabeliv - It's a regular rain poncho. I found it in the outdoor/camping section. They had a ton of them on an end aisle display near fishing gear. It appears to be made out of the same stuff as disposable drop cloths for painting.

Just be careful how you fold the hood section down. You need to be careful that you don't create a bucket on the top. I was using a poncho once in a pinch when I couldn't find my cover, and I made the mistake of not being careful about the hood. DS tugged on the side of the poncho to lift it and sent a "hoodful" of water cascading into the seat.

Another good emergency possibility is a clear shower-curtain liner and a couple of binder clips. No "hood" issues with that one.

those cheap ponchos are great to carry for an emergency, but they are very very thin - we had a very rainy week last year and by the end of the week I was wishing we had bought better ponchos - it felt like I was wearing a drycleaning bag! And they rip quite easily

Anyone know where I could a real rain cover for my stroller?
I plan on buying some cheap ponchos for us, but I would like a sturdier one for the stroller.

I think Babies R Us is a good bet, I know they have loads of different styles over here.

They are part of the Burlington Coat Factory chain, Baby Depot is the nursery dept. within the BCF stores. They tend to have a much larger and better priced selection of covers than BRUS, which usually only has Graco covers. BD often has the generic covers made by Prince Lionheart and Infantino, which are more generously sized and less expensive.

The one problem with Baby Depot is that they don't give cash refunds, only store credit, so be sure to bring your stroller with you to the store when you shop for the cover, to be sure that it fits properly, so that returning it won't be an issue.

I found that the dollar store ponchos (2 for $1) worked well to cover our Graco stroller. It's not a stroller I use often, so I didn't want to buy a cover for it.

The dollar store ones are very thin, but I didn't feel confined in them like I do in a heavy poncho. We bought enough so that we could throw them away at the end of the day, or 2 days.

Babies R Us has the rain covers for about $20 for the single stroller. They do make a double stroller cover, but I have no idea on the price. When we were in Disney last yr our friends used the poncho on their stroller and never worked as well as a real stroller cover. Stroller covers are very durable and will withstand toddlers kicking it and pulling on it. A poncho will rip and fall apart with the first touch. I must admit, the poncho sounds like a great deal in theory, price-wise and such, but you will definitely be much better off with the real deal. FYI - the real cover also has vents on the side so your child can breathe. I am going on my 3rd trip with the cover, something that a poncho could never do. With a poncho, I'd be happy if I made it out the hotel door the 2nd day;)

I went to Babies R Us and got single stroller covers for I think $15. They were the store brand, and not Graco. They were well worth it. We only used them once (I had kept them in the package because I was going to return them if we didn't need them). It poured one afternoon, I mean poured. One stroller we had was a Graco Citilite, the other was just a standard umbrella stroller that I was using with an "umbrella attachment" to hold up the cover, which I would also highly recommend. I can't tell you how many people came up to me and asked me where I got the stroller covers. Both kids were dry inside and fine. It took me more than 2 days to dry my sneakers because they were so wet. We even had a few offers from parents to buy them off our backs. I can't tell you how many sad, wet kids we saw sitting in wet strollers, soaked themselves. My kids wouldn't have been happy. We just kept going without any problems. IMHO, it's money well spent!!

Anyone know the cost of the bright yellow rain ponchos sold at the parks when it rains? Also, anyone know what logo is on the back this year?

Any good ideas for a double stroller cover?? I haven't been able to find one. I'd also like to know the cost of the park ponchos.

Has anyone braved the rain in a stroller? How long does it take to dry?

Praying for dry weather!

Just purchased a double (tandem) stroller cover today from Baby Depot - inside the Burlington Coat Factory. Was $9.99. They had side by side double stroller ones too. Brand was Comfy Baby.

Anyone that is looking for a stroller rain cover..double or single..One Step Ahead is selling them online. Also, they are a part of mypoints..so you can get the points for it too.

Hope This Helps
