Hi everyone, we are going to be at CSR 1/10-1/13 before going on the cruise on the 14th. My questions are these...We want to be cheap with our food, meaning spending as little as possible. Does anyone have any suggestions for this. On top of this we want to splurge on one meal either breakfast or dinner and make an ADR. Does anyone have a suggestion as to which one? We have a dd7 and a ds4. We've heard of the luau at Poly or a hoopde du somehthing? Anyways we would love to hear any suggestions. TIA! :cheer2:

My suggestion for a splurge with kids as young as yours is to have breakfast at Chef Mickeys. I think your kids will love it and it will be special but it will not break the bank. I think the other things you mentioned to do are much more expensive but I have not done them so I can not say for sure.

Here is some advice with Chef Mickeys...Make the latest ADR as possible. Go to MK as soon as it opens, ride all the best rides and then hop on the monorail to the CR and go to Chef Mickeys. If you go as late as possible you can count that as your lunch for the day and at that time it is less crowded and the kids can have more time with the characters.

Have fun,

Loralie

Thanks, is there some kind of info somewhere on this board that talks about Chef mickeys and the others? Also, I am guessing CR is for Contemporary REsort? I am new to all this Disney Lingo. Thanks for your suggestion and would love to hear more. I looked on the budget link but didn't find any. Thanks again!

You can get all the menus here.

Chef Mickeys is at the Contemporary resort. If you are looking for a character breakfast we actually prefer the character breakfast with Stitch and Lilo at 'Ohana at the Polynesian resort. In fact that is what we are eating the morning before we leave for our Wonder cruise in February.

IMHO, the Poly Luau is pretty good, but the Hoop-Dee-Doo is by far the better show.

Crystal Palace for breakfast!!!!!! Waaay better than Chef Mickey's.
