Hi all:yay:

I'm planning a cheap DIY trip for early December O8. The flight has already been sorted, but I'm now in need of a cheap hotel on I-drive for 14 nights.

Can anyone recommend a good reliable website that i can book with. I'm on a limited budget but would like to stay at a cheap and clean hotel.

Thanking you in advance:worship:

I've never used it but others recommend Hotelopia. Apparently you can also get discounts to use on their. Hopefully someone like Wayne will come along & point you in the right direction.

Did you get good flight prices then?

:rotfl2: never far away.

Is there a reason for Idrive, might be better offers elsewhere. Will you have a car? just looked 1st 2 weeks in Dec Cane Island, brand new development on 192(walking distance of Old Town) 2 bed condo £26/night.

Look at Hotelopia, search you dates if you see anything there is a 10% code plus you get another 10% cashback from Quidco.com There are loads of hotels on there from £12/night

Thank you all for your help. Wayneg I prefer to stay on
I-drive as I don't drive, and Michelle I'm just taking a look at holidayrooms direct.

You can narrow the search on Hotelopia to just Idrive. Just checked a couple of hotels and compared to holidayroomsdirect. Quality Inn plaza, £338 (HRD) £308 (H/pia). Best Western Movieland £346 (HRD), £288 (H/opia) Maybe some hotels are cheaper with them but I couldn't find any.
Let me know if you need a discount code for Hotelopia.
Also try travelsupermarket.com

Broadway travel sometimes have bargains. Travelodge £247, Comfort inn £279 although I don't know what these hotels are like.

Reviews are mixed and depends which location, a relative of ours stayed at Travelodge (Idrive, I think) he got transferred somewhere else it was so bad.
We have stayed at Comfort Inn LBV had cockroaches in room and was dirty, but others have no problems.

Eeew. I suppose you get what you pay for

Not really, you just have to be careful. I would go back to the Comfort Inn again but request a higher floor, not ground floor where things can get in, but thats same at any hotel in Florida not just Comfort Inn, I believe the cleaning was down to being Xmas and not enough staff, others have not had a problem here.

We have booked here for our 1st 17 nights in August http://www.countryinns.com/orlandofl_wdwresort £20/night incl. Went to look around at Easter, fridge, microwave, free internet and breakfast, gets good reviews, stayed at Courtyard by Marriott LBV for past 2 Augusts at £25/night, brilliant for the money.

All depends what you want from a hotel, for us we get in late at night and out 1st thing next morning, if you want a fancy pool and a chocolate on your pillow then you have to pay.
I have booked POR for our last 3 nights in August after the cruise, chance to change to AKL for a few extra £ but I know it will be a waste of money for us, we will still only use the bed and out again.

That is good value. We have booked Fountains resort £450 for 8 nights. Haven't got a clue what it's like and never even driven past it but it looked nice on the website

Will be interested to hear how you get on as we have booked 7 nights here at Christmas!

Booked through www.bookinhotels.com as this gave a good price.;)

I got a PM from Leanne who has just returned and stayed here a few nights, hope she doesn't mind me making public her PM.:goodvibes
We were very happy with the hotel. Great location, a Sizzlers, Chilis and Olive Garden right outside. The hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly.
They had a decent breakfast area although we only tried the "make your own waffles" as it was our last morning and we didn't want to waste any time.
The room was a good size and was very clean. The hallway was great with lovely soft carpet under foot.

If I had to criticise I would say the furnishings could do with some modernisation but that really doesn't make any difference to us. The free internet access worked a treat.
We would certainly stay again especially at that cost.
Oh the beds were really comfy at the Country Inn too.
