Hi, we are a family of four heading to Disneyland. What's the cheapest and safe transport to take us to the hotels across from Disneyland? We don't plan to rent a car. We have never done Uber. We've done Supershuttle in the past but you do pay per person. Any suggestions?

Plenty of choices, but one BIG issue is will you need a car/booster seat? Children under 8 need them in California. So do you need at least one? And if so, will you bring it with you?

Without a car seat, your two main options at the Disneyland Express Airport Bus, or pre-arrange a vehicle in advance that will bring them with the vehicle. (Based on the specific type you need).

Otherwise, Shared Shuttles such as Prime Time and Super Shuttle, but then more folks are using Uber/Lyft. (All these options do require the Car/Booster seat and won't have them).

I'd UberXL (a regular Uber won't fit ur fam + luggage, XL means something like a suburban would pick you up). You can usually find a $20 off coupon for your first ride. (Through 12/31/16 ChaseUber will get you $30 off your first Uber when paying with the Chase card you use to set up your Uber account.) One adult can use their account for the trip from LAX, the other can set up their own account so you can double dip on whatever first time coupon you use for the trip back. Idk if it's cheapest, you can get price estimates on the Uber website. Our regular Uber was <$45 each trip. With $30 off it was <$15 each trip. We got serious bang for our buck! FYI Uber pricing is dynamic, if it's a busy time of day prices go up. (We traveled between 11am and 1pm so no surge pricing.)

LAX rules state that vehicles follow a set of rules for Security/Traffic flow issues.

Taxis have stands near luggage claim where you can have one pick you up with little/no waiting. (Follow the Yellow signs)

The Disneyland Express Airport Bus has a special pick stop in the same area. (Follow the Green signs)

Prime Time and Super Shuttle have special zones near luggage claim. They usually have a dispatcher there to get you into the correct Van. (Orange Signs).

Uber/Lyft users have to go to the Upper Level with their luggage and go to "Ride Service Pick Up Sign" (Black circle with a brown center and a White Letter). When you get to the sign, you then use your app and let them know which "Letter" you are standing besides.

All other Shuttles and similar services require you to gather your luggage and once you get to the curb, call and let them know you are ready. They can't enter the property until then.

Some Private Town Car type of services do park their vehicles and meet you at luggage claim (The driver has the sign with your name on it.)
