Hi.
Just wanted to ask for advice. It is a very last minute trip for me. I am taking my 2 children for 4 nights to Orlando. We usually stay onsite at WDW but are going to stay off site since it's last minute and a cheap trip this time. I want to find the cheapest hotel with a restaurant, pool, fridge, transportation to the parks and pretty nice. I know it sounds like I want everything but I know there are good deals out there. I just have to find them. I am thinking around the $50 a night range. Any ideas? I was thinking of the Comfort Inn Lake Buena Vista. What is in walking distance of this hotel? Any restaurants or stores? I have never been there but I didn't read any good reviews on it either. Does anyone have any ideas for me? We usually rent a car but won't be this time so we need to have the transportation at the hotel.

Thanks a lot,
Kim:wave:

there site does not tell anything about the shuttle hours.

to me that is a bad sign.

either get a rent car or find a resort that does.

this site seems to have good times

we stayed in the comfort inn along time ago - I picked it because of the pets allowed (very few allowed pets then) - the transportation was bad because the shuttle pick up not only that hotel but all the local comfort inn around - so it very slow getting to the parks.

call the resort and see what the schedule service is - not only ask when it picks up but when it delivers at the parks - if they are more than an hour apart - it is the same system.

Maybe try priceline. The only down side would be the hotel could possibly lack a shuttle. However, I do think most hotels have shuttles down there.

Try one of the hotels in Little Lake Brian. They are all Marriotts. Courtyard, Fairfield Inn and Springfield Suites. We have stayed at the Courtyard. They had a really nice pool (indoor/outdoor), a wide variety food court, and the rooms were very clean. They had interior hallways which is a must for me. I know that they have scheduled buses to disney, but we didn't use them, so I don't know how often.

They are located on Route 535. If you take Hotel Plaza Blvd away from disney, you will turn right on 535. After you cross under I-4, you will take your first left (at a traffic light). The road turns a little and the complex will be on your left. Oh, it is a gated complex, which I also liked!

There are a few restaurants within walking distance. One of them was a Landry's. ( think that was the name. It is the same company that owns Rain Forest)

I have also seen great rates at the Hotel Royal Plaza on Hotel Plaza, but I have never stayed there.

Hi,

I would check mosesavers.com for the good rate on the HOtel Royal Plaza.

Nice hote, good bus transp and walking distance to dt disney.

herc.
