Cheap Airfare on Southwest

I just booked our airfare for our January 22 cruise. At last I feel like we are really going!

I just booked our January cruise's air with Southwest. $59 each way between BWI and MCO. For my family of three (including taxes, etc.) the cost was $410. I've never seen prices this low, even on Southwest. I don't know when the sale ends, but get them while your can!

You might check the day of the week you are planning. In my case, if we flew out on a Thursday it was $80 more per person then on Wednesday. Southwest has specific days that are low rate days.. I was able to get $99 per person each way from Portland Oregon to MCO!

I, too, found the airfare on Southwest very high for us in January. Normally it is under $200 at that time of year, but unfortunately this time it is much higher.

Is there a trick to getting the low fares with Southwest? Any of the fares that are decent always seem to be sold out when I try.
I learned the hard way during my father-in-laws illness. Made 3 short notice trips, Sacramento to Houston. Made the mistake of booking Southwest without comparing fares. Cost me $620 per person. Next trip, with even less notice we took America West, and it was $390. Both required a change of planes in Phoenix.

if Song flies from where you live, i'd give it a try...
we flew them in the summer and fell in love....
it was the most wonderful domestic flight we've had in years (we flew them from JFK to MCO)...
i can't tell you what the price was since it was a VUSA ticket (a ticket that can only be purchased outside the united states)....so it was of course very cheap.....but i'd be willing to pay a lot more for the service....they're certainly a LOT better than northworst, which is usually what we have to fly when we're in the US....

Coming from NY/NJ/PA we find SouthEAST & Air Tran to have some of the lowest fares.
