*I know, I know, that picture is WB and is "blasphemous" to us Disney fans!! J/k!! :rotfl:*

I'm glad that the fire is contained and I don't blame you for feeling scared. I would be too! :scared1:

You got smile ruled now? See, always causing trouble :sad2: :sad2:  ;) :lmao:

Thats what I said.... Its not enough money for all the help he gives me with the babies... SO I let him live THIS time....:lmao: If he does that to me again, he might not be so lucky.

Julie is in full on count down mode... It is going to be so strange having a teen around. I was talking to her mom a few weeks ago, and she was like.. whatever happens.. Dont let her make me a Grandma!! :lmao: Ill do what I can. I have a feeling my husband will be ALL over that. He is so protective of his little sister. I think he will have a hard time seeing that she is 17... not 11 like she was the last time we saw her.

That's cool that she will be visiting you. :goodvibes OMG, I almost spit out my Sobe when I read what your mom said! :lmao:

Hey anybody been in town this week? I got a get together going .. its taking place at the lost bar!! This weekend is the last weekend they will be open! So I am doing a bon voyage get together—it doesn’t matter if you don’t drink we will still be happy to have you! It would be fun to get all the dis locals together ……

So Friday niht (yes tomorrow) at 6pm at lost bar!!!

Morning and TGIF all!

Sara have fun at your party tonight. I am going to miss the Lost bar and Hooks. We have eaten there a LOT. But new things are always exciting and I am hoping the new place is good and interesting!!

Bernice that bed frame looks, well interesting LOL. I am to the point where I am wanting one of those adjustable beds because my back is ALWAYS killing me and as it is I have to sleep propped up with a bunch of pillows so no offense but that looks REALLY uncomfortable LOL. I suppose if you were a kid or young person it would be great! :)

Well it looks like we are finally honing in on what we are going to do for our fall trip. I was more than fine with doing nothing or just taking a long weekend and going back to DL but mom is totally obsessed with doing something and when I told her I thought the cruise would be too expensive she went back to her orig idea of using her timeshare and going to DW. SOOO I started looking and we can't go at thanksgiving because A the airfare is just TOO expensive and it was too close to get ADRs and everything else BUT if we went the week before we could do the free dinning. SOO we are looking at going for 6 days starting on Veterans day and staying at the coronado. We would then switch over to her timeshare for the second half of the week and finish out the week and go to IOA for a day and possibly kennedy and then they want to play golf one day and I would prob take the girls swimming at the pool. So that is what we are thinking for now but we are still in the planning stages. I hope it works out but admittedly am a bit nervous. I still really don't feel comfortable doing ANY kind of trip but mom really wants to do this and she needs to use her weeks sooo we may be going. I'll admit I am a bit excited if it works out and hadn't planned on going back this soon. We usually only go at min every 3 years and we were there in 08 so this is about a year early but I will take it. :) Hopefully we will know for sure if we can go in the next week or so.

Then last night Shane had to go to the soccer meeting since he is the coach of our team so I took the girls to our end of year party for swim and Katy got her ribbons and her medals AND she got the coache's award for her age group so she was really surprised and excited!! It was SO hot though and I was starting to get a really bad headache so we ended up leaving early.

They always have a slide show and they sell copies so we came home and watched it.

It was a good year but I am glad it is over!! Shane has to work tomorrow and mom and I may take the girls to the movies but otherwise it is going to be a relax weekend for a change and I can't wait. We have been going non-stop for months and I am so ready for a break. Soccer starts in another week so I am looking forward to a break.

Luckily soccer practice is only TWO days a week instead of every day and the games don't start till september so at least we have our weekends free for a bit.

Anyway I am off to work today so hope everyone has a good day today and have fun with any weekend plans you have! Take care and talk soon!!

Last night 3 of my girl friends took me out for a belated b-day dinner. We had planned it earlier this month since two of them were out of state the week of my b-day. :) It was nice to catch up and I had a great time. We all went to h.s. together and and we just laughed so much and so hard. :cutie:

I chose Bubba Gump's in Citywalk (Universal Studios). I had the shrimper's heaven, which is an assortment of various shrimp. I didn't get all of it in my pic, but here is a shot of some of shrimp:

They have these license plate signs on the tables. If it's blue and says "Run Forest Run" it tells the server that you do not need anything, all is well. If you flip it to the red sign that says "Stop Forest Stop" then the server will stop at your table. :) I haven't eaten here for a longgg time.

There is a huge candy store called It's Sugar. I got flip flops that were on sale for $5 and also got a cute tote bag and some swirly gummie bears:

While in the candy store, my friends saw this woman reach into a container of rock candy. She opened the lid (most of their candy is self-serve but they have tons of scoopers) picked it up with her hands and threw it back into the container and walked off. My friend told a sales clerk who then removed the container from off the sales floor and took it to the back. I agreed with my friends that it was pretty odd and strange that the woman did that. It's kinda gross too. :crazy2: At least she didn't grab the gummie bears I got! :faint:

My friends and I checked out a store called Mercado Chocolate' Loco. They had all sorts of chocolate products. I didn't try anything but I did take pics:

-Chocolate Dipped Jalapenos- Never seen that before

IMG01466-20100722-1849.jpg

They have massive caramel apples. They are huge and are called Mammoth apples.

We were walking around and I took a shot of the guitar outside Hard Rock Cafe. Here is a pic (sorry it's blurry):

One of my friends had picked me up from my house and drove us down there. She had to drive to her bf's house so another friend of mine gave me a ride home (she lives close to me). After two of my friends took off, we stopped at the Yogurtland in Citywalk. I was happy that they opened one there. I  Yougurtland so much. lol

Hope you all have a great day! :cutie:

Pix those chocolate jalapenos look interesting. :rotfl: I have tried jalapeno peanut brittle that was pretty good (and HOT) but I don't know about chocolate on a hot pepper.

:lmao: I know! I don't think I could eat one! :rotfl: Jalapeno peanut brittle doesn't sound too bad :)

We have tried chocolate dipped Jalapenos before... Tasty! The chocolate helps kill some of the heat.

MMMM chocolate and spicey stuff!!! i love it the spicy peanut brittle has a kick but its good!

Really? That is interesting. Maybe I should get my bro to try it. He LOVES ultra spicy foods. :scared1: Maybe I could ask the shop to put some of their strongest chili powder on it for him! :lmao:

I don't remember seeing choc covered jalapenos.. but I'm guessing I heard of them on one of those "unwrapped" shows.

When we have a chance to go to the Mexican deli, I like to try new candies.
E grew up having the lemon and salt packets as a special treat, personally I think they are not that good.:snooty:
I fell for the tamarind flavored candies, the one I like the most is a chewy candy with salt and chili. MMMM, wakes up the taste buds.. sweet, spice and salty all in one. At Trader Joe's I pick up the dried mango with chili on them. YUM! Sweet on the tongue and spicy burning my ears. Which is also a typical Mexican candy/ treat.
One little imported candy stand in the Global Market building has banana flavored gum. It's really cheap to buy by the piece, soft texture and oodles and ooodles of flavor. I usually hate gum.. bleck! It runs out of flavor and becomes annoying, then you need a place to trash it.
Ugh! That is not the purpose of candy!

Get in my belly! :thumbsup2

:rotfl:

I had ECBs to use at CVS, bought junk food for Justin to pack for band camp. He leaves right after a parade on Sunday. He has his first parade tomorrow, hoping for some overcast skies but no rain. It was burning hot in the sun today, it was a struggle for me to walk the last few blocks home. Dragging my tired out body. Couldn't enjoy watching the frogs jump along the way as a bunch of bicyclists zoomed past, scaring them off. Darn!

Morning and happy Saturday all!

Rochelle that sounds like a fun night with your friends. We love Bubba gumps. In fact we went there in SF this past few weeks ago with the girls. All that choc looks YUM although not the jalapenos LOL. I don't even like reg jalapenos and the idea of choc covered ones. EWWW! That reminds me they always have weird fried stuff and other weird stuff at the state fair and this year they had chocolate covered bacon. YUCK! I never did see it or the booth that was selling it but that is just WRONG LOL.

Now those apples, yum! I could eat one of those in a heartbeat!!

Glad you were able to have a nice night out with your friends!! :)

I just worked yesterday and then the girls and I ran over to the mall because the dress shoes I bought for katy were hurting her feet so I had to buy her a bigger size. While we were there we looked at my fav place children's place and they were getting rid of a bunch of their summer stuff and had tons of shirts and shorts for 5 and 2 bucks! Can't beat those prices :) And then we stopped at Penneys and same thing. They had racks and racks of clothes for 70 and 80 percent off! I got them both a few shirts for like 2 bucks and some shorts for 5. LOVE deals like that!!!

Then mom joined us for lunch and then we came home. Just hung out at home last night and shane bbq'd and now today we are enjoying being home for once with NOTHING to do!! It is so nice! No meet to be at or anything on the agenda for a change.

Shane had to work but the girls and I actually got to sleep in. It was nice!

We were going to go with mom to a movie but she had to bail so now I am not sure what we are going to do.

The girls were invited to a birthday party so we may go out and look for the gift today or we may just stay in and stay cool.

That's bout it for me. Hope everyone is doing something fun for the weekend and take care!

Okay, I live in a nice middle class suburb, typical starter 2 BR homes are over $200K. Larger homes in the $250- $400K range. We have pockets of uber expensive neighborhoods where just an un-improved lot is $150K, new construction HUGE Mc Mansion style.. Nice people raising familes, educated, professionals.

However we also have pockets of apartments, some are just fine.. mine is a little dated but everyone is very nice, clean , tidy.. nothing weird.

On the other side of us is rent reduced townhomes. Well maintained but an odd mix of young immigrant families, seniors and people just struggling a little. On the other side of that .. oh boy! Run down, nasty looking and people hanging all over the place. Obviously section 8 with a slumlord manager.

Now why do I tell you this? Well, the crime has increased in our area.
First it was the kids with the skateboards and hitting rocks across the parking lot, climbing on people's cars. The closed gas station across the street frequently has cars parked there or as a meet up spot.. odd as it is the same cars each time.. hmmm????

Two days ago, three possibly armed suspects held up a bank less than a mile away. They didn't get caught. Our neighbor, she loves gossip and keeps a close eye on our area, said she recognized one of the suspects in the photos. She thinks he lives next door or in the icky apartments. :scared1:

The police searched the town homes that day, again yesterday circling round and round on our street. ***???

Today I noticed a guy, digging thru the cigg butt container in front of domino's. Same guy I noticed digging thru our bucket by the stoop late at night a few days ago, he heard us coming out and scurried away.
Except today, he was sporting a handcuff attached to one wrist and looked at me several times as he walked away.

uhhhhhhh HUH.. ummmmm hmmmmm.....

I talked to the bread outlet lady, she thought that was weird. Little boy in store who lives nearby described the guy and then said "oh, it's fake. He wears it for fun". Yeah sure kid.

Okay is if it is fake, why the heck would you do that????!!! It's bad enough you look guilty when you scrounge for someone's used up cigg (eww!). But considering the three suspects at large??? Are you nuts??!

I guess the economy is starting to affect my quiet little area. :sad2:

Scary stuff!!! We live in a run down area... Its not bad in my complex, because we are kinda hidden away.. But behind us is the full on GHETTO. Gang bangers and the like. Oddly.. I really like where we are. Its so out of the way no one really knows where it is.

So today we are moving kids around getting ready for Julie. Moved the big kids into the twins room... the twins into Kaylee's room.. and Julie will be in Alex's room. Its funny.. Alex was so excited to have his own room when we moved into this place, but I think he is even more excited to be sharing with his sister again. :lmao: He even gave her his loft bed.. Now she sleeps on the top, and he is on the bottom. Maybe he just got tired of climbing up there every night. This weekend is all about cleaning, organizing, and getting ready for the invasion. OMG. I hope she doesnt get pregnant on my watch!!!!! :scared1::lmao:
