You know I don't think I will experience it because at no point am I going back to back and I think that is what did us in LOL!!! I will go a little bit for dinner Saturday and then I won't be back again until Wednesday and again on Saturday so its WAY spread out LOL!!!!!!

I definitely think there is some Animal Kingdom roots in the Jungle Cruise. Walt himself wanted real animals to be a part of the ride concept when it first started so he had a vision for a park element that allowed guests to interact with animals!!! I'm a sucker for those corny jokes...I just laugh every single time no matter how often I have heard the speel LOL!

I can't even begin to think how soon this trip is coming up...I woke up this morning and was like...holy moly I have how much to do LOL!!! I've been planning lessons in my room and I am officially planned through the 18th...now to get to work on the two weeks after (including the week I'm gone) I want to be done with my sub folder by the end of this week if possible LOL!!!

Chapter 15: I Gotta Feeling…We’re in our TEENS!!!!

What better way to spend a rainy Sunday afternoon when you know you don’t have to work the next day by putting in a good song and working on a PTR update!!! So what’s new in our world…well we’re in our teens…well at least I am…Paula will be in her teens in a couple of days and the celebration will begin all over again for her!!!

I was very excited this week I was finally able to score a two person ressie for Sci Fi, which means C will be joining me for lunch on my first day at Disney!! I’m so excited to be able to join her on her mission to find the most amazing hamburger in all of Disney and I can’t wait to see the theming YAY!! I might even talk C into going to see Muppets with me which is definitely a must do of mine since I didn’t see it the last 2 trips LOL!

In my school world everything is going great! I have some amazing students and I’m really looking forward to this year. I have already promised them if they get a good report from the sub the entire week I’m gone we will have a very special Freaky Science Halloween Extravaganza on October 31st, including homemade treats by me!! Well of course this was met with a lot of excitement because word around campus is that we make Jack-o-Lanterns on Halloween by blowing them up…which may or may not be true LOL!!!!

So in the world of getting healthier and weight loss I reached my 20lb milestone this morning. Sundays are my weigh in day and the scale this morning happily indicated a number I haven’t seen in years and now my loss is up to 21 lbs. I have 19 more days and I’m shooting for 6 more pounds before Disney, which would be a HUGE milestone for me!!! I will be spending my Labor Day with a good friend shopping at a nearby outlet mall and I am looking forward to picking up a few new shirts to take to Disney!!! I don’t dread shopping as much as I used to.

So let’s talk…RETAIL THERAPY!! WOOT one of my favorite topics of my PTR is shopping!!! My Disney shopping list is getting shorter and shorter!! I was able to cross a few more things off of it!! I bought a mini tripod on Ebay this week and I’m just waiting for it to arrive! I’m looking forward to trying to use it during fireworks (I also have been reading some articles on photography and will begin playing with my camera and its settings this week).

My new crocs came in…they are a lot like the Malindi style, but without the holes at the top. I love my Malindi crocs at work and I am very excited to have two pairs to wear and interchange.

I bought our water for the trip. I’m a huge drinker of bottled water and I asked Paula what her favorite brand was and she said Dasani. So this week while I was walking around Wally World I saw they had a 32 pack of water bottles on sale so I picked one up! Yes I took a photo of the water bottles just for you guys!!

I also wanted to show you the pictures of the other two bags in my life that aren’t my Vera’s!! The magical backpack of unlimited goodness and my trick or treating bag that Leslie so graciously purchased for me.

I still need to re-Scotchguard my backpack, but I will do that as we get closer to the trip. You may also notice the lovely pin attached to my backpack. That was another gift from Leslie, who knows how much I adore Aurora!!! I love that pin!! In the next couple of updates I’m going to post my packing lists. Yes I have packing lists (plural), I have my suitcase list and then I have my backpack list! It’s amazing and maybe even quite disturbing what I think I must have with me in the park LOL!!!

So those of you who have been following this PTR know that there is another very special guest coming along on this trip. Well this very special “fellow” arrived at my house yesterday. That’s right, NOBBY IS HERE!!! Nobby wasted no time making himself at home and beginning his research of Disney!! I even caught him sneaking a peak at some of my Disney books.

Oh and I spoke to Nobby about the whole Spaceship Earth photo thing and Nobby said as long as I “helped” him, he would be more than happy to take the risk and take the photo for me. However he says he is doing this ONLY once and I might have had to promise him two rides on IASW back to back (No worries P I will do that on my first Sunday at MK before you arrive, only one of us should have to “go” through that).

So all we have left of our Must Dos is Animal Kingdom and it always amuses me to see what Paula and I have in common on our lists…however what amuses me this time is what we have in common on our don’t want to do lists!! We both listed the exact same rides that neither of us is really interested in doing LOL!!

Paula’s Must Dos for Animal Kingdom

• EE more than once AND at night!
• FotLK... her all time fave show!
• Kilaminjaro Safari... and she is NOT taking pictures!! (well unless the giraffes are in an AMAZING spot....but thats it!) Jen is on pix duty ;o)
• Dinosaur
• I want to enjoy browsing in the shops too... they have such neat and different stuff at this park!

Jen’s Must Dos for Animal Kingdom

• Expedition Everest (Riding it at Night…thank you Disney for adding those hours)
• FOTLK (I have never seen this show and I’m dying to see it)
• The Safari (apparently I’ll be taking the photos LOL)
• The Walking Trails ( I love me some Animals)
• Yak and Yeti (FRIED WONTONS)

The Two Must Not Do for Animal Kingdom (We had the exact same 2 LOL)

• Primeval Whirl…we are not into the whole spinning thing!
• Kali River Rapids (Neither one of us has any desire to get soaking wet…NO THANK YOU! It’s a great ride; we have both ridden it before, just not going to this time LOL).

In honor of the Animal Kingdom, our Hidden Mickeys will pay homage to this beautiful park in this chapter’s countdown!!! I’m at 19 days today (WOOT for the teens) and Paula is at 21 days!!! This trip is getting closer and closer and if I really look at my to-do list I might panic…but I’m not going to think about that too much at this time LOL!!

To find this Hidden Mickey you have to go through the Standby line. This one can be seen along the far right wall in the Tashi’s Trek shop. In a cupboard, a small yeti doll on the top right shelf is wearing a hat, notice anything familiar about said hat????? Happy hunting!

I just read your latest update and it is by far the best. I'm so glad Nobby has arrived. I'm also very glad that you made it to the teens! Its also good to see that you and Paula have so much in common for AK. You are soooooooo lucky to be able to ride EE at night. 10 trips to Disney and I still have not accomplished that (and won't in September - thanks short trip).

Oh well, you seem pretty organized to me so no need to panic. I love the new crocs, backpack, and Aurora button. Oh and the Dasani looks pretty tasty, too.

And I almost forgot....Congrats on the weight loss. That is awesome!

Halloween Bag is so cute...I just saw the characters dressed in those costumes...on utube yesterday -...House of Mouse...Mickey's House of Villains...I was watching it with David...-it was a great episode actually so I bought it for him on half.com...(it had a bunch of the great old cartoons like Lonesome Ghosts and How to Haunt a House in it...in it...anyway...one of the cartoons in it had that Mickey, Donald and Goofy...

You "might" be blowing up Jack'o Laterns with your students?...You Rock... ...you should think about taking photos of such an event if in fact such an event takes place...
