Chase's Disney Visa?

Hi, we are thinking about getting the Disney/Chase Premier cc (the one with the yearly fee).

On one of the review sites it states that you can pay your DVC yearly dues (I think they mean Maintenance Dues) with the rewards points. Has anyone done this yet? Does anyone know if it's a good use/value for the rewards points?
ze.

Since one reward point = one dollar, it spends just like money. Therefore it is as good a value as you determine it to be. If your maintenance dues are $500, you're paying that amount whether you're using cash or Disney Visa Rewards. I have not done this as I pay my dues with my Visa to get more rewards to spend on food and such at the parks, but I know you can.

Does anybody know wherr you have to buy groceries from? If you shop at target, or walmart does this still apply? also which resturants? Thanks a ton!

I've been looking at this offer for a while now too. But I hate to pull the trigger when the 3 month bonus runs out right before I go to the beach. That is at least 12 hours of driving and a week of eating out. I'm going to gamble and wait to see if I can get 5% for all of that.

And am I the only one that think the Lightning Mcqueen card is worth it alone?!?!

I've heard they are raising the annual fee on these card. To about $1 Billion.

90 % of my card is used for gas and that extra % is only in effect for three months so the calculation doesn’t/t work for me. When I got the Disney card years back the gas purchases did reward you with a higher point calculation. If that were still the case, and I knew it would go on for all gas for the year then I would consider paying the yearly fee. I think that this Chase card has pulled itself out the main stream of Credit cards when it requires a fee In order to take advantage of its perks. In order to take full advantage I think you have to call them every three months to register for the changes offered for that period of time since the premium category change that often.

How were you guys able to know which purchases fit the 5% category? I mean you can generally guess but some may be coded differently here and there (based on their merchant code).

They are the same three categories where you earn 2% - groceries, gas, and restaurants (there is a fourth category you may have -Disney). You should see they gave you 2% in those three (or four) categories instead of the traditional 1%. In the Bonus Rewards section is where the promotional 3% should show up.
