my Visa cardmember email about pre-booking seminars had this to say about the lounge this year.....
Savor the experience with an exclusive Cardmember retreat. Plus while you're enjoying the Epcot® International Food & Wine Festival you can also enjoy exclusive access to the Chase Lounge (Epcot® admission is required).2 Cardmembers can have a seat, put up their feet, enjoy a refreshing beverage and discover exclusive perks and benefits at this Cardmember-only area.
The Lounge is open from 11am-9pm on Sunday through Thursday and 11am-10pm on select Fridays and Saturdays during the festival.
The Lounge is located in the American Adventure Pavilion on the third floor (please use the elevator located between the attraction and the gift shop).
Present your Disney Visa® Card to gain access to the Lounge.
Every year they make it unnecessarily confusing by implying you need the Disney Visa to access the lounge. But every year you can access the lounge by showing any Chase debit or credit card.

However, they have been known to limit reserved seating for Eat to the Beat Concerts to Disney Visa ONLY- reserved viewing for IllumiNations historically has been for ANY Chase card.

That's true, but we were talking about access to the lounge. In fact, I don't think they've always had the reserved seating at the concerts or special section at Illuminations. I've never tried to take advantage of either one so I'm not sure.
But I do find it annoying that they are once again saying Disney Visa in some of their communications about accessing the lounge because that confuses people.
Exactly. But every year people see that language and think it means only Disney Visa cardholders will be granted access. I'm just trying to clear up the confusion before it sets in.
I'm confused. I knew about the Chase lounge but not about the seating at Eat to the Beat or reserved viewing for Illuminations. I have a Chase Disney card. Could someone let me know how I access the concert and fireworks areas?
I liked the lounge but there was never anyplace available for me to sit when I stopped in last year. They needed more seats or a time limit for people or something. I found myself wishing it WAS for Disney Visa Chase card holders only.
I ended up having to stand which defeated the purpose of getting to relax in there. I didn't even look around the whole area - I just left and went outside to the fountain where I could sit for a bit the 3rd time.
I haven't heard if they are offering access to the concert or Illuminations this year. A couple of years ago I tried but you had to get there right when the lounge opened and get a wristband and I was too late for one. I don't know how it worked last year.
Not sure about last year but in 2013 we were there right at 11am, when the doors opened and with only one other couple ahead of us, but when we got into the lounge and I asked about getting 2 tickets to the Eat to the beat concert that evening, I was told they had already given them all out for the day I was really surprised since they had just opened and there was only one other couple in line right when the lounge opened.

I don't even go to lounge in the lounge, I just go for the free Coke Freestyle machine, get my fill and then walk on out.
It does amaze me that they don't move the lounge to accommodate more people....It amazes me the people waiting behind the velvet rope to get in. While I understand that food and wine is mainly held in world showcase, the festival center is in future world...with innoventions being closed, toss the lounge in there, or the upstairs of figment land, surely thats not being used for anything and is much more accommodating.
