We have a Chase Disney Visa card and I was browsing through the benefits at the parks and saw that there is a Private Cardmember Character Meet/Greet/Picture opportunity at Innovations West in Epcot. Has anyone done this lately? If so, what were the characters and how was the experience? Any help would be appreciated.

You never know who will be there. We waited about 20 minutes (I did, my kids were running around the play area) and I think it was one of the best interactions. Mickey gave nose kisses to my little one and the pictures are ADORABLE! Goofy was also there with Mickey. They were really great with the kids and us. Got a lot of pictures with the kids and then family shots. They give you a paper ticket to take to the Epcot Photo place to get your free print but all the photos are on your Memories account if you do that too. I lost my ticket but they were still able to pull up our pictures and I picked the shot I wanted for our free one!

We do it every trip and our last was a few weeks ago.

It's great! Lines are usually very short and the characters take a lot of time with you. The free picture is a great bonus.

They never tell you which characters you will see but last time we saw Mickey and Goofy. I don't think we've ever done one that didn't include Mickey. Sometimes there's 2 characters, sometimes 3.

What costume does Mickey have on? Is this at the same place as the Epcot Character Spot?

Tried to upload but couldn't easily. It's like a Tux with red pants, a black coat and yellow bow tie.

we've been doing it for years.
we last did it in july.
in july it was mickey and goofy.
each time we go its either mickey and pluto, mickey and goofy, minnie and pluto, or minnie and goofy.
my sister and i both have disney visa's so we both are able to get a free 5x7 photo.

We just went in September and it was Mickey and Goofy. It was a great experience!

mickey is in his formal tux attire.

the meet n greet at innoventions west is not the same as the character spot.
the innoventions west meet n greet is just for chase disney visa card members and you must show your card in order to do it.

We were there in September. There was no wait around 5pm. We saw Minnie and Pluto, and they were fantastic! My kids had toys with them and Minnie and Pluto played with them for a fair bit, then Minnie noticed our painted Magic Bands and checked out everyone's while the photographer and handler talked to me about how we painted them. It was fantastic!

We got a voucher or something to get the free print, but I was happy to just have it on our Memory Maker.

There was also a topic last week where they were talking about a lounge in the America section (3rd floor) and a special Illuminations viewing in the Italy area for cardholders as well. I think it's available at certain times.

We did it several times in June and July. We had either Mickey and Goofy or Minnie and Pluto. We never waited more than about 10 minutes. It is the best character interaction. On more than one occasion, the characters danced with my kids. I think the interaction is much better because everyone is kept outside a curtained area except the family that is meeting with the characters and at a point the next family to go. Therefore, if they do something special with one family they aren't obligated to do it with everyone else standing in line.

Also, if you have a rewards card you can get a free picture with that card as well- I got two free pictures each time I went!

What time was Minnie there? I've only seen Mickey, but I would love a pic w/ DS & Minnie! I'm going to need to bring a few boxes of tissues for this trip. I'm embarrassed to admit that I got a little misty eyes reading some of your experiences & thinking about my DS' first trip. :)

Oooo I'd like to know/hear more about this!

We went in September and the line at 1pm was really long. We went back around 3 and had 2 people in front of us. It was Mickey and Goofy. If you have a Disney visa AND a rewards card and show both you will get 2 vouchers for photos.

Good to know about the Rewards card as I have both!
