Not sure where to post this, but needed to get it out. I have the Chase Visa for Disney reward points and have never been more UNSATISFIED with the customer service they have provided over the last 2 years.
I was stripped of my promotional rate for my Disney Cruise because I paid my bill ONTIME, and am now being charged for the finance charges. Long story, but the bottom line is that Chase customer service is 100% opposite of Disney customer service, and Disney should disassociate themselves with Chase for this very reason.
The people are so rude, you would be shocked.
I hope someone who has anything to do with this subject hears my complaint!!

Thanks for letting me rant!

I just charged my disney cruise to my Chase Disney Visa...now I'm nervous. Can you give me a little history on your story so I can hopefully avoided being charged the finance charges!!

I'm with you. I stopped using mine and plan to cancel it after we redeem our reward points. We had nothing but problems with customer service after they sent us 5 different cards and opened two separate accounts. Everyone you talk to there seems to have a different answer, none of which appear to be the correct answer.

I know a lot of people have had no problems with their cards, but we unfortunately did not fall into their category.

We have had ours since "Day One" and have had no problems. The one time that I inadvertantly paid a few days late I called customer service, got our promo rate back and the $35 late fee waived.

First off, call the Cust. No-Service number and ask to speak to a supervisor. But, don't threaten to cancel the card. If you cancel the card, you lose all bargaining power. Ask them why your promotional rate was removed, and indicate that they need to restore it if you have not violated any of the terms of your agreement. Once the card is paid off, then cancel it. Now, one thing you may not realize if you didn't read the fine print -- Chase requires your payment to be in their hands PRIOR TO 8:00 a.m. on the day the payment is due. If it reaches their lockbox, or their internet payment system, after 8:00 a.m., it is considered late.

Second, don't just vent here (nothing wrong with that, just don't stop here). You need to contact Disney and let them know of your displeasure with their business partner. Your letter may not change anything by itself, but if they never hear, they won't know that a problem exists.

Third, and this is personal opinion, I will NOT do business with Chase Bank for anything because of their poor customer service and issues I have dealt with in the past. I recently told a car dealer I would not buy a vehicle from him if he only had Chase Bank financing. They, and Bank One that they purchased, have been the subject of multiple class action suits.

Funny, that's how I feel when I call DCL.

I just had to reply because I was so surprised at the comments. We have had the Disney Visa card since it was introduced and have had great service. In fact, they recently called me to verify that there had been fraudulent activity on my card. They caught it and had new cards sent out immediately. In addition, we have put 4 Disney cruises and vacations and have had no problems with the rate and or the 6 mos. no interest.

I'm sorry to hear of everyone's problems. I hope more people will write about their experiences. I would be curious to know.

Sorry to hear you've had a bad experience.

We've had the Disney Visa for a few years now and haven't had any problems and I have always received very good customer service.

I've also had it since "day 1" and have never had a problem. My bill is paid automatically online every month. :woohoo: very easy!

WE've had our account "frozen" several times for "unusual activity." The "unusual activity" was paying the balance in full every single month. WE know they have frozen us when our card gets declined. Now we only have to have it declined once to know to call and they will say "Did you know your balance has been paid in full every month?" We say "Yes." And they un-block our account.

I recently told a car dealer I would not buy a vehicle from him if he only had Chase Bank financing. They, and Bank One that they purchased, have been the subject of multiple class action suits.

This is my opinion also. I will not use Chase for anything else! They do have poor customer service, they try to gouge you, and the only thing I have with them right now is my mortgage and if I could refinance without taking a hit just to get rid of them, I would!

WHen I closed my Dis Visa, they assured me I would receive my rewards because I requested them prior to closing the account. 2 weeks later they send a letter refusing to send them. I did eventually get them but it took alot of effort.

We have excellent credit and pay our bills on time. Obviously when their numbers are down, they start going after their customers who pay on time and pay very little interest.

Never Again, and I dont care what they promise. READ THE FINE PRINT!

We've had the card since day one also and I can say that they didn't like that we pay the card off every month. We've had multiple problems with them and even though we still have the card it's now only used in an emergency.

I'm just mad at them because they changed the United Milage Plus program on my Visa card. I don't get miles anymore, I get "points" that are worth 1/10th what a mile is in most cases. So I have to spend 10 times the money to get the same benifits I used to. What a rip! I'm looking into getting a differant rewards card. I wish I could cancel it, but I got it waaaay back when it was First USA bank and it's my oldest major credit card. I'm stuck keeping it, due to it's age it really boosts my credit score. But once I get a new rewards card they won't get a DIME of my buisness.

Another since "Day one"...no problems at all.
They called us with fradulent use once....thank goodness.
We have had to get new cards twice because of loss or theft and never a problem.
We always pay it off every month.
Satisfied customer here and I can't wait to use my points for the third time in Oct. :bounce:

I aplied for a Disney CC through them once and was turned down. So, I swore I'd never own a Disney CC again...glad I made that decision.

I agree that their customer service peple leave soemthing to be desired!
I have called, been on hold for over 30 minutes, then told to talk to someone else, then told to talk to the person I just talked to, over and over again.

If I don't need to call them, it is fine, but when you try to talk to someone, EGADS!

we can also be added to the "no problem" family.

we've had our cards since day 1 and not a problem at all

Add me no problems, and I have really used those points while on vacation at WDW, being a DVC member the points have really saved me some money. Now I have not had to call CS so cant say good or bad, but I just go on line transfer point to my rewards card and thats it. No problems. :cool1:

DH and I each have our own accounts, have been cardholders since Day 1, and have been very pleased. Once a payment was late when I was setting up our online access to the site. All fees were waived and our interest rate wasn't increased.
