I know I pay $65 per year. But I have the Marriott Rewards Premium. For my $65 every year I get a certificate good for a free room night up through a Category 5 hotel (they go up to an 8), credit for 15 nights of stay added to my account (so I automatically become Silver and it is much easier to get to Gold) and five Marriot Rewards points per dollar spent at Marriott (in addition to points for other purchases). So it is well worth the fee for me.
All this talk of annual fees and I can't find anything that states if Chase will start charging an annual fee.
Anyone know?

I have no idea what this means. 15 nights of credit? You mean you get 15 free nights per year or they automatically charge you for 15 nights?

I don't believe chase is changing their policy. I received some info of changes but nothing that stats annual fee. I did receive a letter from a citi credit card and it specifically stated that they were going to charge an annual, the effective date and the date that I would need to cancel the card to avoid the annual fee. This letter wasn't that little tiny paper with the tiny little font with all the legal mumbo jumbo. It specifically stated that they were going to charge the annual fee so I would think that Chase would send a similar letter if they were going to do it.
It was very clear, though, with dates and such. We have 2 CCs, both are Chase, 1 is the Disney Rewards card with no annual fee, the other is Southwest Airlines card with a $59 annual fee.

PS I got two letters one for each chase card and the annual fee stuff is buried on page 4 I think.
I've thought about applying for this one since you get a free ticket after the first use. Do you find the card is worth it? I just hate paying an annual fee, but earning a free ticket every year or even every other year would make it worthwhile. Is there blackout days?
TIA
I like the SW card because the rapid rewards are added up with both card usage, but also with flights, so when you book your flight with your card you get more out of it. You get the points for the dollar amount, but then you also get 1 rapid reward for each flight (so rt you get 2)There are no blackout dates...however, it has been harder to book than in the past.
