Hello. I finally updated my Disney Chase creditcard(I didn't activate my new card I got years ago). Last time I used it was 2012! I also noticed my chase slate card was also still under my maiden name and I hadn't used that card in years also. Not to long ago citi bank closed one of my cards I hadn't used in years so I didn't want these two cards to be closed too.

Well I think slate doesn't offer anything and I want to upgrade to a better card like rewards. Agent said there's two Chase freedom- 1% on purchases and different quarters theres offers for 5% on categories but you have to CALL IN to activate it :/ which seems like a pain. The other cards, is Chase shapphire and its 1% on purchases. Both cards are no annual fees.

Just wanted to know if any of you have Chase cards besides Disney that offer good rewards.

BTW- I picked the Tinker Bell cards . I'm so happy! I've only been to DW once 7 years ago and might be time to go again :)

You do not have to call in for the categories with the Chase Freedom. There's a tab you click on ONCE every 3 months on your web account AND they send you an email to remind you with a link to activate it. It takes all of 10 seconds every 3 months.

The Chase Sapphire Preferred DOES have an annual fee but usually not the first year. And it isn't 1% back across the board- you get 2% back on travel and dining.

You should visit their website to compare cards. It's very easy to navigate through all the cards. Some people spend more in some areas than others so what might be good for one person won't be for another. Good luck!

I think shes talking about the Chase Sapphire. I dont think its offered anymore though...

OP: It really depends on what you want to go for. Fly a lot on SouthWest? go for the companion pass Chase offers.
I personally currently using Freedom and Chase Sapphire Preferred. They both earn the same rewards points and have a group of transfer partners i can transfer to. The insurance on the CSP is worth the annual Fee.
If your just lookin into a regular cash back rewards cards, i would suggest the Fidelity or the Citi Double Cash.
Other cards, if you spend lots on groceries, theres the Blue Cash Card by Amex which will give u 6% back, there is an annual fee though.

I have both cards, Freedom and Sapphire (but the old no annual fee one). I actually don't even use the Sapphire any more and only use the Freedom for categories that are 5% for the three month period, as about a year ago I upgraded a Citi card to one that pays 2% all the time.

As previously mentioned, the opt in for the 5% each quarter is very quick and simple. The site has the offerings for the first three quarters of 2016 listed as Jan-Mar: Gas stations & Local Commuter Transportation , Apr-Jun: Grocery stores and Jul-Sept: Restaurants. Also it is on up to $1500 in purchases each quarter in those categories. So basically you can get up to an extra $60 a quarter (4% of $1500).

Why not just get the Chase Double Back card? 2% on everything all the time. Seems like the simplest to me.

Chase doesn't have a "double back" card. Citi has a Double Cash card. Is that the one that you're taling about?

Freedom card for 5x categories each quarter coupled with the sapphire preferred for transferring and use of points for...everything = a good combo
