Evening folks,

How are you all?

Can anyone review Charter Travel for me? Are they any good? Try as I might pricing everything up separately - and believe me, I've spent two weekends glued to my computer, they are coming in around £1k cheaper on our summer plans...

Cheers,

Never used them.

Summer 2015? a bit early to be comparing, for best DIY prices they could be anywhere between now and well into next year, I often book Jan or Feb. Saying that if you have found a really good package price it might be worth booking to save the hassle.

Hi I used them last year they gave me the best price on flights disney and car hire but am going to try booking separately myself to see if i can get it cheaper.

Thanks, Wayne... I was hoping to nab free dining, which is why I am looking now!!!

I once booked the hotel & free dining then bought my flights nearer, but I do prefer to do fights first.
Given up with free dining though, far too expensive now. They just charge discounted room price and add the food ontop then call it "free". First year we did it we paid £60/nt at OKW with free DDP, last time I paid £130/nt, next year its £190/nt. Way too much for me, especially when you add $20/meal tip & beer at double(or even triple) the real price.
If you set on onsite then maybe its still worth it,

I always book my accommodation first whether its free dining or on DVC points. Usually we are tied to dates so I just books things as I can and accommodation is always available before flights. Booking through WDTC for free dining means you only need to put down a £50 per person deposit and if you are really stuck they will move your dates without amendment fee as long as the cost doesn't reduce.

Also I still think the OKW/SSR deal is a good one. To rent points for our stay next year we would need 378 points which for us is about £8 or $13 a point. Going rate is around $12 a point so even if I rented points it would cost more (I am getting free dining in my costs) as $378 is not going to feed us for 12 nights :rotfl:

I agree with Wayneg's comments. Beware of 'free' dining as it just means they've loaded the room pricing instead.

Used them in 2012, they were really good. Beat best price I had (complete Orlando), we stayed at ssr in August. Had free dining, & Disney voucher & the same Disney extras. Also quickly supplied ADR number.

I've just had prices for next August for y&bc, akl wkr from charter travel &they are cheaper than Disney & complete Orlando. Included is the $100
