hi guys, just wondering if any of you have good reviews or experiences with the above companies: major travel, charter travel and ocean Florida?
normally I would bide my time, save my money & book flights independently but the way prices seem to be there is not a lot in it to let one of these companies do it as a package for me & then I can spread the cost & keep sending money instead of spending it (bad saver alert lol)

anyway.. have you used any of these & what did you think? does one always come out cheaper? grateful for all comments

My post unfortunately isn't going to give you the answers your looking for, but having spent the better part of the last 6 weeks on what has become a borderline obsessive flight hunt, I have noticed that Major Travel frequently comes up at the top of the list with Kayak and Skyscanner. I know nothing about them which is why I haven't tried to book yet, but at least for flights only, they seem to be a major competitor for the best prices, frequently appearing at the top of the list in my searches, although I have not searched packages with them so can't comment.

Have you checked with Complete Orlando as well?

hi, thanks for the reply. I haven't called complete Orlando but looked at their site plenty, they don't seem to do fly drives as such, you can book flights & separate components but I don't think they'd offer me a fly drive package where I can pay a small deposit, will call them to double check though

I've booked next years package with Ocean Florida. So far they seem all right for a travel agent i.e. I know more than they do :rotfl2: but that's ok. As DH and I are staying for 15 days they insisted I needed 21 day Ultimate's to get the free DDP for the entire stay. I wrote an email to their customer service department pointing out the error of their ways and they very quickly responded and refunded me the difference between the 21 day and 14 day tickets.

They were very competitive when it came to price and I even managed to get them to further reduce the cost on the quote they gave me so overall I'd give them a thumbs up :thumbsup2

It's so nice when you hear good reviews about travel agents and the like. There are plenty of dodgy ones out there, but it's lovely to hear compliments about the good ones :)

FWIW, I went online and searched Major Travel reviews at lunch time, from several different review sites and forums and have to say, they score very well with feedback. It also looks like there are businesses who use them for booking business travel and have done so for years and are very happy to continue to give them their business. This thread has actually helped me as I didn't consider them seriously enough, partly because as someone who books directly wit airlines, the thought of using a third party agent is a little daunting but your question prompted me to go do a little homework :thumbsup2

I have used ocean florida previously and had great customer service and no problems would use again :beach:

We've booked with Charter travel twice including my upcoming trip and they have been good so far, i searched everywhere and they came out cheapest at the time.

Have you tried Kenwood travel? We used them last Xmas and they were great :thumbsup2

thanks for the replies everyone, nope hasn't looked at them Jen, will add them to my list, thanks
