DH and I usually stay at the Poly, but decided that we would like to try something different - so we're staying at Port Orleans French Quarter for our August trip. At the Poly, we were able to easily go back to the room in the middle of the day and charge his wheelchair, if needed. Any of you have recommendations/suggestions on where we could charge his wheelchair during the day, if needed? Thanks!

Restaurants between main mealtimes are good places. Sometimes electric outlets are found on columns.

The Electric Umbrella restaurant near the front of Epcot and also some corridors in nearby buildings look like good places with wide open spaces where you would not be an anyone's way.

If you follow the link in my signature to the disABILITIES FAQs thread, post #3 has some resources, including a link to a past thread where people listed electrical outlet locations. Basically you will not have a problem finding some.

You could also go to First Aid. They should be able to help you.

You may Aldo want to get the batteries checked before you go. Unless you are real commando tourers or have low capacity batteries, you should be able to go a whole day without charging. Also check on how long it takes to charge your batteries fully. My DD's charge to almost full in 4 hours and then switch to a trickle charge for however long they are plugged in. She's good to go for a range of 12-15 miles. But I did see some Jazzy/Pride wheelchairs that take 16 hours to fully charge. Thst kind won't be fully charged overnight, so will start out only partially charged.
