Can someone please confirm for me...

Value charging limit is $500
Mod $1000
Deluxe $1500

I know once you get close they charge your card and you start over but I just wanted to confirm that these were still the limits or has it changed?

TIA

Honestly, I never knew there were limits as to the level of hotel you are staying at.

I did not know there were limits either, but I just got back on April 8th. I stayed at Value, we were not planning to charge that much to the room since we had cash and other credit cards, I gave them the card with the lowest interest rate on it. The limit on it was 300.00 but the paper I signed said it had a charging limitof 500.00. So the whole catergory by resort, may hold true.

Anyone stay at a Mod lately? We are staying at a mod for the first time in Sept. I haven't stayed at a deluxe in awhile so our limit has been $500 at the values for the past couple of trips.

So, how does this work? If I can only charge $500 that means I might run into problems on our second day. Do they charge the CC after each day, or when I ask them to, or when?

2 years ago I had a room only ressie @ a value resort. With a room ressie I paid 1 night as a deposit and when I checked in I gave my credit card to pay the rest. I also used that same cc so I could have room charge privilages with a $500.00 limit. I had charged a few meals and 4 passes for Blizzard Beach to my room. At BB I tried to charge our lunch and the CM told me I had reached my limit so I couldn't charge it to the room:scared1:. It was embarrassing. I didn't bring cash or any other credit card but luckily my nephew had his card and we were able to charge lunch on his. When I got back to the hotel I went to the desk and found that instead of charging my room directly to my cc they were putting it towards my room charge limit! I had them process all the charges to that point so I could start over again on my limit. This means they didn't charge my card when I got close so now, every few days I check the charges on my account so I won't be surprised again!

When we checked in at AK, they gave us a limit of $1500 and told me if and when it was close to the limit, they would charge the card and my limit would be reset. I actually said to the cm "Oh, don't you worry, I won't even come close one time, no need for a reset":rotfl2: He just smiled and reassured me if I changed my mind, I would always have room on my card!

It depends on the resort you are staying at. If my memory serves me correct the values limit is $500, Mod $1000 and Deluxe $1500. All that means is when you check in you can have them authorize a credit card for charging. Then you can use your room card for charging to your room. If you are at a value resort when your room charges get close to $500 they will charge that amount to your credit card you left when you checked in and your $500 limit will be reset back to $500. They do not charge your card everyday. They only charge it when you get close to the total. I hope this helps!

We found out about limits a couple of years ago. We were staying the longest amount of time we had ever stayed so in previous trips we hadn't had time to reach the deluxe "limit" but this trip we did. We were at TOT I think but I know it was somewhere in that park and they told us we had reached out spending limit. However, that CM said I can dial your resort for you and they can close out those charges and start it over so we got it taken care of right there. She just dialed up the WL and handed us the phone.

1) The room limits are correct
. . . Value = $500
. . . Mods = $1000
. . . Deluxe/DVC = $1500
2) When you reach the limit, you are cut off.
3) Call the Front Desk and ask them to charge you card.
4) Then you start, again, from zero.

NOTE: It used to be automatic that the resort would charge you card automatically. That created some problems, especially for folks using debit cards. Now, you must call and have the charge completed.

I know they have those limits. But have never been "cut off" once hitting that amount. And we have gone over and stay deluxe. They have always processed it once it hits the $500 range. But then we "request" this be done this way always. And we get a itemized print out on a daily basis.
