We just spent spring break at Universal. While there, I wanted DS and DD to have room cards with charging privileges. The front desk said, "OK, but it won't do any good. They'll need to show photo ID everytime they want to charge."
Since the kids don't drive yet and we don't make a habit of bringing their passports to Florida, they were out of luck. The staff said it was a security measure to ensure strangers didn't get a hold of the card and start running up our bill. OK, fine, but I still thought it was rather inconvenient.
My question: is photo ID required for every room charge at WDW? We trust our kids and would be willing to risk letting them have charging privileges. I seem to remember they were able to charge to the room when we stayed at DVC Hilton Head last year...but what about WDW?
Thanks.
Kelley
