Charging to room PIN

First time using magic band.....when using the magic band to make purchases will I be using a PIN each time. FAQs say is it a security feature when charging to the room. I am confused.......

You set up a PIN one time...use that PIN for every purchase-just like a debit card.

Think, PIN used when you get cash or make a purchase with your Debit Card. Same concept
