charging to key to the world, how long?

Just back Saturday and my cc has not been charged as of now. I thought the thing I signed said it would be charged immediately? Anyone else have this problem or know when I should expect it to post?

I don't remember when the bulk of our charges were posted to our cc. I think they total everything up at the end of your stay and then it will post. I'm sure someone around here has a better answer for you. I do remember that a few days after we returned home, items purchased the last few days of our vaca were just starting to hit the account.

Most purchases are charged immediately to your card but it takes time for the card to actually post them. On my online statements there are usually 2 dates, one when the transaction took place and one when it was processed. There is usually a day or two difference between them.

You have the option to pay off the charges you have accumulated with cash at the time of check out (or anytime before that actually), so they wait until you check out before charging the card.

Just a note: if you hit your hotels limit (ie,$1000 at Moderate, I think) in accumulated charges, they will charge your card that night. Then your hotel balance is set to zero again for you to ring up some more. I guess if you never hit your limit then they will won't charge your card until checkout. This was my experience in 2001 (far too long ago , LOL!). For our intimate wedding they charged tons of stuff to the room (ie, characters, carriage, hair & makeup, etc) that weren't in the package a la carte and hit the card everytime I got to the $1500 GF max.

When we went in Dec. they charges posted a few days after we got home. So, I would say within 2-3 days of check-out.
