Charging tip to your room?

We leave in 2 weeks
We are on the dining plan. Can someone explain how you charge the tip to your room? Do you just give them your "ticket"? Is this what people refer to as "key to the world" card?

Will we automatically get the hard plastic ticket when we check in?

Also, since we are on the DP, will we get a "bill" so we know how much the meal was so we know how much of a tip to leave?
