Charging scooter in hallway at Wilderness Lodge Villas

We are staying at the Lodge Villas and I have to rent 2 scooters on an upcoming trip . This will be our first time with 2 scooters. Do folks charge in hallway? Charge in room? Thoughts? Putting 2 scooters in the room may be a challenge. I think I remember seeing people charging in hallway. Been a while since we stayed at WLV.

I have charged in the hallway at villas. But unfortunately, someone is always going through any pockets or baskets.
I had a back pack permanently attached to the back of the seat. One night, someone tried to remove it.

No matter what the CMs say (they usually encourage you to just leave your scooter in the hall to charge), I've never felt right about it Always afraid somethings going to be stolen, damaged, spilled on, or someone's going to walk into it (like they do in the parks, looking at their cell phone), then sue me for their real or imagined injuries (can you tell I live in a sue happy part of the US?) And since most of my trips are solo, I have to figure out how to single handedly push or pull the scooter into the room, while keeping the door open But I just wouldn't leave it in the hall Just imagine if someone spills soda on the battery, for instance!

If you have the flexibility to reach down then a rubber door stop/wedge like the type bell services use will be a good investment.

They're pretty inexpensive on Amazon.
Just put it between the door & the jamb when open, no need to reach down.

If I could please make a plea that if you absolutely must leave your scooter in the hallway you try to get it out of the way. I’ve seen situations where mobility challenged individuals had great difficulty getting past them.

I always wondered about fire evacuations. A scooter here & there not a huge issue. But, imagine for a moment scooters lined down both sides of the hall, and a smoke obscured hallway.
Now, I’m NOT a paranoid person that actually worries about such a once in a billion occurrence. I’m just pointing out what the fire Marshall might say.

I'm going to try putting it between the door and the jam next time, thanks I bought a rubber wedge, but the door still slides closed (just more slowly) when I tried to wedge it at the bottom

We always bring it into the room overnight to charge. We are the ones responsible for it, so I want it close to us where no one can mess with it. Over the years, we have gotten creative with where to park it around the room.

Personally, I do not understand why the scooter cannot be in the room with the person who uses it. The scooters cause an annoying obstruction in the hallway. Even studios have spaces the vehicle can be parked and charged. Yes, the scooter takes up room but if you need it .... Leaving an expensive item in the hallway is irresponsible on a few levels - IMO.

In my days before retirement, I was a hospital engineer and was in charge of the safety program. When I see scooters parked in the corridors, blocking half or nearly half of the corridor, I just hope there isn't a need to evacuate the floor at night. Just put them in your room.

While it may be annoying, I think every resort we have stayed at, has had scooters being charged in the hall.
I've seen it at Poly, Wilderness, BWV, Kidani, Beach Club, Yacht Club.
