Charging privileges without a credit card

I "think" I read that you can give cash at check in and have charge privileges put on your room card.....
Correct or no????

You can give them cash at check-in and that then becomes your charging limit

Yep. We've done that lots of times. We didn't even have a credit card at all the first several times we went. We just gave the front desk cash at check in and used that for charging. Then, when we left, they would give us back whatever was left - usually just a dollar or two! It was great because it kept us from having to carry around a bunch of cash in the parks.
