Charging privileges on Magic Bands - different rooms

We're taking some family to WDW next summer. I just booked our 2 rooms today. I'm paying for both rooms. I'd like to have charging to my card on the magic band for those of us in one room, but not the other room. I've read a lot of complaining about this not being set up correctly and trying to sort out charges after the fact would be a nightmare. Should I try to get them to set it up for charging for just one room of people on the bands or say no charging to any bands to play it safe?

You shouldn't have any problems limiting that. In addition to having it charge for only one room you can specifically designate whether each individual in that room can or can not charge. Each person that can charge then has to set up his or her individual pin number. It only becomes difficult for the system to manage if you want different cards linked to each room and they are both reserved under your name.

They are separate rooms so you will not have an issue. (Assuming each room has a separate reservation number.)

Even if both parties were in the same room, or on the same reservation, you can set up different credit cards for different guests. Although it is a simple procedure, occasionally, it does get done incorrectly. I would recommend going to the front desk the night before you check out and asking for printed copies of your folio, so you can check to make sure everything's ok. (Overnight, at around 3am on the morning you check out, all the charges are automatically applied to the credit card on file. Charges can still be moved after that, but it's a more complicated process, which is why I recommend doing it the night before).

Be aware that charges could also be applied to your CC if you hit your resort's "Spending Limit" prior to the end of your stay (Values - $500, Moderate - $1000, Deluxe/DVC - $1500)
