Charging privileges at Swan?

I've read that there are no charging privileges at Swan or Dolphin. Does this mean anything purchased at Disney (meals, gifts, activities) have to be charged to a credit card? Can you charge anything at all to your room?

What about dining at the Swan/Dolphin restaurants? Can this be charged to your room?

anything at the Swan or Dolphin can be charged to your room ( I think) - restuarants and gift shops.

its only the WDW hotels/parks that you can't charge to your room - then you need a credit card, debit card, or cash.

the Swan and Dolphin are NOT WDW hotels. that is the problem.

At the Dolphin and the Swan, you will be allowed to charge purchases back to your room that are only made at the Dolphin and the Swan. That includes restaurants and gift shops.

For anything else, you will need to bring a credit card (Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover, Diner's Club), cash, traveler's check, gift cards, etc.

One "bad" thing about the Dolphin and the Swan. You have to increase your burden of the day by one more card in your pack.

Otherwise, I'm a big fan of the Swan (never stayed at the Dolphin).
