Hi - Leaving next week, got a question about charging to the room. I know when you stay onsite you can charge purchases to your room, what about food? The Universal site says you can do that at any food vendor who accepts credit cards - in reality, how many food vendors do that? Do we need to carry cash, too?
Thanks for the help!

I believe you can use your room key to charge anywhere in the park that used a CC machine. That means the food carts I believe don't have CC machines.

My brother and his girlfriend went last time with us and they had problems the whole trip with it.

We always pay cash or CC because we have seen problems with other people using room charging beside my family.

Just about everywhere in both parks accept credit cards...with the possible exception of some food carts. I would bring a few bucks just in case but you should be able to charge the majority of food/drinks to your room.

Day of departure we've had our room key quit charging shortly after noon, make sure to bring CC into the park if you need to use it vs cash.
