Is it possible to charge an Annual Pass to the room once you are at the resort? thanks, Sheila

You can charge it to your room key at one of the parks or DTD after you check-in. They don't sell AP's at the resorts.

Thanks, do they sell them at the EPCOT entrance by BCV? Sheila

Yes, there is guest servies at the International Gateway entrance. It's actually a great place to buy it, there's never a line.

That entrance is International Gateway and yes APs are sold there. Just go to the ticket booth in front of the turnstiles and you will be good to go!!!! Have a great trip!

You should check to see how much they put on your room key to use. Both times I have done this it was $500 so with 1 annual pass you will be using almost $400 of it. You can go back to the hotel guest services and have more money applied to your account. If your buying more then 1 pass you will have to make sure they give you enough "credit" to use. Basically what happens is they put a "pending" charge of $500 on your credit or debit card and at the end of your stay they charge the actual amount you use. You can give the Guest services cash to apply to your room card but I'm not sure what would happen with whats left. I don't know if they would refund cash you could ask before hand.

If you have left a credit card imprint, this will not be a problem, The card will be charged when you hit the "level" for your resort. (I *think* $500 for values--but it might be $1000, $1000 for mods, $1500 for deluxes and DVC, and I have no idea about FW.)

You don't need to go back to guests services. I've had trips where I hit the "level" twice in one trip and never had to go to guest services or the front desk--even to check out. They slip your folio under your door at around 2:00am the morning of your check out, you just review it and leave :) I do suggest checking that folio though--I have had errors on mine!

Thanks, everyone for all the info. Sounds like one more detail all worked out! Sheila

I have actually had a problem lin Feb 2003. I charged my AP's to the room, over $1,000. I was staying at a deluxe, so my charging limit was $1500. Anyway, at one point when I had reached my limit, my card got shut off. I couldn't purchase anything. I called the WL Front Desk and was informed that they no longer automatically charge through if you reach your credit limit, you must authorize the charge personally. I don't know if that is a new rule, or if it was a one time thing due to a problem WL had previously. I never reached the limit again during that trip, and on our past trip I also never reached the limit at either of our hotels. This is still a mystery to me. Going forward, I will charge my AP's separately, just to be safe since it is such a large charge!!!

Lori--

That's weird. I wonder if it was your account because of an earlier problem.

The last time I went over the limit where it automatically "recharged" my account was a few years ago, so maybe it's changed?

Anne

It definately wasn't my account, since I never carry any balances on my credit cards and the charge went right through after I authorized it, over the phone mind you(gee no security there if it was for security purposes). I agree it was weird, since this had never happened to me in the past. I had always had an interim charge if I had met the resort limit. Oh well, I guess I'll have to try to test it!!!!!! I could use something new and EXPENSIVE!!!!!!:p :p :p :p Sometimes I think it was the person who checked me in and set up my account. She didn't seem the swiftest of individuals, and was "Earning her Ears" so it's possible it was just a mistake on her part. Oh well, live and learn I guess.....

Lori--

Sorry--I had misread your earlier post and thought you were saying that you had a problem with your account at the WL previously, so I was thinking maybe they had flagged it for some reason to not "rollover" automatically. Does that make sense?

Anyhow, I'd like to get an answer to this--we are going to the BCV in August, taking my brother and his family--the plan was to charge everything to the room and sort it out when we got home. But with eight people on an eight day trip we'll definitely go over the $1500 before we leave.

Anne

No problem Anne!!!! I agree, an answer to this would be great, but unfounately I didn't think about it until just now and not while I was in WDW last week (hand now slapping head!!) I knew I wasn't going to go over the limit since we weren't buying anything big.

For the poster that wrote they put a pending charge of $500, etc. on your account for the resort max. spending limit, they do not. They authorize 1.00 on your card to see if it works. The card is not charged until you a. reach your spending limit ($500 at values, $1000 at moderates and $1500 at deluxe) or b. you check out.

As for the problem with not being able to charge anything once you reached your limit jel...we were almost at our limit when inquiring at the front desk about our room charge totals in the middle of the trip. She told us that they re-set the computers at some point in the day(can't remember what time) and that if you are at your limit or close to and the charge you are trying to make is over what you have left, it won't go thru. I think she said this happens at around 3pm, I can't be sure though. We just had them go ahead and charge our card the amount on our folio and reset the limit. That's probably what happened with you.
