We spent last week in Washington DC. There was a mistake on our ressie, and they had incorrectly scheduled us to stay until September. We laughed at first, but when I returned home and attempted to use my Disney Visa, there was a block on it. The credit company blocked the card becaue the hotel attempted each day to pre-authorize over $8000. This is routine, pre-authoriziong at a hotel, but not for so much! Anyway, Visa cancelled my cards because they thought it was possible fraud. So, I was inconvenienced, and had to wait to receive new cards.
The Holiday Inn rectified the problem, and apologized with a free weekend, anywhere in the United States. When a mistake is made such as this, I believe it is appropriate to offer something more than an apology. Business is business, and if a comany wants to maintain yours, they must maintain happy customers.
