Characters with babies

I had the idea to use my oldest son's pictures with the characters from our previous trips and put them in a little photo book from cvs or Walgreens to use as his autograph book for our upcoming trip. It will be the first trip for our younger son who will be almost 2 and daughter who is due in July so will be around 3 months. I want to get pictures of each of them with as many characters as possible so we can do the same thing for them on future trips. I especially want to get pictures of my daughter with the princesses. My question is, will they hold her for the pictures? I figured the big costumed characters probably wouldn't, but at least the princesses and hopefully Minnie and Mickey.

I'm fairly sure there's a blanket rule against characters holding people's kids. Some might do it anyway, but I don't believe they're really supposed to.

I asked once when our oldest was 1 and it was a no.

I've seen pictures of characters sitting on the floor holding babies, so I assumed that was OK, since I would assume the issue would be the possibility of dropping the baby. (And that includes princesses, who obviously wouldn't have the oversized hands.)

This was almost 12 years ago but both Peter Pan and Sleeping Beauty held by 13 month old daughter. I didn't ask them to, they asked if they could?! But like I said, that was almost 12 years ago.
