Hey,

I will be hoping to see as many characters as I can in April when I am there, can someone direct me to a site that lists various locations etc? Also, do the muppets now make appearances? What about Simba and pumba?

Many thanks

I don't know of a site that tells where DL characters are. I have seen Miss Piggy as a walk-around character, but I think that's the only Muppets character I've seen (over by Muppet Vision 3-D in DCA). Simba and Pumbaa have never been walk-around characters--you won't find them anywhere. Timon and Rafiki, however, are often in Adventureland.

One of the best ways to find the characters is to ask at City Hall. Guest services there usually has a list of who is appearing where. (They will usually tell you, but I've never seen them hand out a list.)
Characters are often in the town square by Mr. Lincoln.
The Princesses are near the castle (and story time is usually in the Princess shop around 11?) Ariel is in her grotto near the Astro Orbitors.
And of course, Minnie and Mickey are usually in their houses in Toontown.

In Calif Adventure, Minnie, Mickey, Goofy and others are dressed in vacation clothes and hanging out by the Sun Fountain (or whatever it is called). From the entrance, as you walk under the Golden Gate Bridge, keep walking straight.
There are also often characters in Hollywood by the animation studio. Again, you can probably ask at CA Guest services for a list of who is appearing where. I think I've even seen Flick in the Bug's Land.

Have fun!
Chris

Deffiently ask at City Hall or at the "wait times board." Also you will see Cast Members that escort the Characters, you can also ask them if they know where you might find specific characters.

Town Square is a good place to find Characters, especially first thing in the AM. You can always find Pooh and friends over by the Pooh attraction. The Princesses hang around the castle - also check out the princess story telling at the Toy Shop, this is a great way to see a princesses.

I had the least amt of wait time to visit with a character inside the Animation building in DCA, they have a sign outside the building when the Princesses "hold court" at various times of day.
Not just princesses though- I also saw Hercules and Mickey!

A great time to see characters is first thing in the morning. The gates open a half hour before the rides do. On Main Street we almost always see Mickey, Minnie and Goofy right by the Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. Also we frequently see Peter Pan, Wendy and sometimes Mary Poppins and Alice. We get there early and get some character photos and autographs before our first ride. Pooh Characters are out almost all day in Critter Country by Splash Mountain. This is a well organized character greet, as they have line ques up all day. This cuts down on the confusion of whose turn it is next. Woody and Jesse can be seen over in Frontierland as well as Pocahantas. I agree with the previous poster about meeting princess' over in the Animation building at DCA. That is something newer and a lot of people haven't caught on yet. We have also seen Woody and Mickey.

We were at Disneyland/DCA Dec 14th -17th and there were tons of characters out. More than any visit in the past.

At DCA near the Animation building you could also see the Incredibles (Mom, Dad and Frozone). Stanley was out by the Playhouse Disney building.

We saw Sleeping Beauty and Prince Phillip everyday in Disneyland. My daughter (4-year-old) was dressed like Sleeping Beauty every day and by the 3rd day Prince Phillip was talking to her and making comments about the day before :)

Tigger, Pooh and Eyore can be found in Critter Country.

On a previous trip, we kept running into characters by the baby changing station. There is a door to backstage where the it seemed liked the characters headed to Adventureland came out.

Also in tomorrowland you can catch Buzz sometimes.

We were there in early December and characters were easily found.

Mickey, Minnie, Goofy etc were generally near Mr Lincoln, and princesses where near the Castle, including Ariel who had her own special location between the castle and Matterhorn.

Never saw any Lion King or Muppet characters.
